When most people think of a Rubik's Cube, they picture the classic 3x3. But if you're looking for a great starting point for a younger kid or just want a quick, fun puzzle, the official 2x2 Rubik's Cube is fantastic. This "Mini" cube is a simplified version of the original, with only four squares on each face instead of nine. This makes it much less intimidating, especially for a kid who might get overwhelmed by the bigger version. It's a great way to introduce them to the logic and problem-solving skills needed to solve the cube without all the extra steps. I've found it's perfect for ages 8 and up, as recommended. It's a great STEM toy that helps with spatial reasoning and memory. Speed, color, and feel are all authentic!
