Earth Woman Tarot Deck

I don't write reviews of tarot decks often, but I love The Earth Woman Tarot by Tarn Ellis so much I had to leave a review. The artwork is divine! The colors are vibrant and each card has illustrations that draw the eyes in. The more you look, the more there is to see. I appreciate the diversity and connection to Mother Earth. And I know some people do not like the fact that the people have blank faces, but the author tells us why - so that you can see yourself in each card. I think that's a beautiful sentiment and really appreciate it. The matte cardstock has a nice feel and it's easy to shuffle. This was one of my top favorite decks of 2024 and I see myself using this one for a very long time!

This deck shuffles effortlessly with a soft matte finish and fits right in my hands. The size of the cards are not too big and not too small. I love that the art shows no faces and more diversity. You can look at the cards and see yourself mirrored back at you. There is a richness, calmness and grounding in the energy of the cards. Being an earth sign, I bonded them immediately.

Being a Tarot Reader, I was so happy to receive this deck of cards today! I love them, the artwork is vivid and the symbolism is Rider Waite style, very user-friendly. I am ordering another deck tonight! You won't be disappointed! Linda

These cards are very special - the art, the feel, and the cohesiveness of the deck is absolutely stunning. Each card was made with purpose. You can feel the care. Card stock is awesome - feels very earthy. Absolutely my favorite deck! So thrilled.

The media could not be loaded. I pre-ordered this deck many months ago because Tarn Ellis is I think my favorite artist. I love her art so incredibly much so when I found out she was coming out with the Tarot deck I knew I had to have it. I can't believe I got 78 pieces of her art for the small price of this deck. I can get lost in every single card. Plus the descriptions she wrote in the book are just absolutely beautiful and spot on. The book is in multiple languages, but half the book is in English and has full descriptions, and the other languages have much shorter descriptions. There are only a few cards that I did not feel followed the traditional depiction. All but one I loved. I loved how she changed the death card, and the world, and judgment... The only one I was unsure about was the six of Cups which is supposed to mean childhood and memories, but it is depicted as a circle of women in the forest. That's the only one I didn't get. But everything else is just... I can't even put words to it. So much love for this deck!

The box, soft cardboard material (bruised at the corners due to poor packaging and handling by Amazon), has a lid that opens upwards, it is not a secure lid so be careful not to tip the deck over because all the cards will fall out. The guide book is super basic. General meanings of the cards upright that you find online or anywhere, no deep interpretation by the author. I can understand that she is an artist and not a tarot reader, so she could not describe the essence of the cards. This takes away a star. The Cards, simply beautiful, spectacular, like all art designed by Tarn Ellis. The dedication to detail in these cards is impressive. The material of the cards is soft, but flexible and manageable, they are matte which makes them perfect, they look like post cards. My favorites: the magician, justice, the hanged man, 2 of cups, 9 of cups, 10 of cups, 7 of pentacles, 8 of pentacles, page of pentacles, 2 of wands, 4 of wands, 3 of swords, 9 of swords, queen of swords.
