Ah yes, the 370 mounting bracket for a DC worm gear—exactly the kind of thing I never thought I’d be reviewing. But here we are. It’s sturdy, fits well, and doesn’t seem prone to bending under pressure, which is all I can really ask for. The only minor issue? It’s a little thinner than expected, so if you need something that can take serious stress, you might want to reinforce it. But for standard applications, it does what it’s supposed to without drama.

The width down the side is shy of 2 1/4 inches. These small L brackets are strong and made of steel (or alloy) as they are magnetic. Each of the 2 brackets come with several sheet metal screws. Although there is a specific application this bracket is made for, it would also be suitable for a multitude of other applications. Each of the two sides of the L bracket have 4 fixed locations for screws on one side and adjustable screw locations on the other side. There are no nuts or wrenches included. The brackets have a durable black coating I suspect is powder coating, so you will have no issues with rust.

These 25mm brushed DC gearmotor mounts are very useful in small hobby robot builds and other projects that use this size motor. The fit of the brackets was tested on motors from both Pololu and Makeblock (see photos). This size of gearmotor is very common. I checked the 90-degree bend of the mount with a machinist square and saw no problems. The holes in the bracket and the motor lined up. The thickness of the brackets is 60-mils (16 gauge, 1.5mm). The mounts came with screws for mounting the motor, and they did fit the holes in the face of the gearbox. These are nice and useful motor mounts.

To be clear, these are thin, press-brake bent brackets. There is no countersink to speak of, and the photos of calipers showing 3MM are clearly a different product. They do the job, and should hold up reasonably well. But just know you're not getting machined parts, you're getting cold-rolled, press-drilled and brake-bent brackets.

These brackets are pretty small, but if you are using them for small motors then they will work. The brackets aren't too heavy duty so I wouldn't use it in high strain applications, but they're fine for smaller applications.
