The seam ripper portion of these items will not lock open, so you have to hold it open and use the same ripper at the same time. This is not functional. the seam ripper itself actually fell out of one completely.Disappointing

I love these and am so glad I got them. It's handy to have a seam ripper and threader in the same tool

It’s a clever idea but I wondered why it was only available as a 3-pack. Well, as soon as I opened one, it broke. I wasn’t even using it. So I guess back-ups are necessary.

It does work, the only problem it does not have a locking mechanism. You have to constantly hold the ripper open. It's pressure regulated. I have trigger finger and it’s really hard for me to use. But it would not be a problem for someone else. It's a pain, but it does work. I would not recommend it. Giving them away and buying something else.

Wish the seam ripper had a lock, it retracts unless you hold it. Otherwise this is a great tool.

Threading needles wasn’t always easy when my vision was better. After cataract surgery my close vision isn’t great without readers so this makes threading a needle super easy. You have to hold the seam ripper open while using it or it closes. Likely a safety feature. Getting 3, I put one in my travel bag, one with sewing supplies and one in the bedroom

These fall apart. Not easy to use because you have to hold the slide button up in order to use the seam ripper which fell apart.
