Excellent quality and simple to install.

As stated in my title the replacement part for my MX6 pool pump failed in less than 3 months of use. It appears that the internal mechanism that connects the gear rods stripped. The turbine spins and the gear rods don’t. Horribly made aftermarket part. I’m very unhappy. And of course the warranty period is over.

Replaced this along with driveshaft and rotors and cleaner is operating like new!

It appears to be identical to the Zodiac original product and works the same. The blades on the engine wear after a while and that lowers the drive efficiency and speed. I lube the blades with dielectric grease to reduce friction and wear. This helps to extend the like of the engine blades. It's a simple remove and replace of the old engine (only four screws on the housing cover) and the efficiency of your MX8 or MX6 is greatly improved.

The product worked for 2 months and now only spins one side. I tried to contact the company to get a replacement, but no luck. I am willing to assume I got a bad one but am not willing to shell out another $20 to replace this one that lasted such a short period of time.

Pool vacuum wasn’t moving. Replaced this part and it started to move again.
