Merrell Women's Travvy Tall Waterproof Snow Boot

Can't speak highly enough of these boots. Bought them for a three week trip to Ireland. Only wore them a couple of brief times before the trip, it being too hot here in Florida to wear them for an extended period of time, so was a bit apprehensive about how well they would work out in Ireland. They were perfect. I wore them every day for 18 days. Hiking trails, castle stairs, wooded paths, city cobblestone streets, beaches, rain, mud, rocks, wind, slippery surfaces, you name it. These boots are champs! They never hurt my feet, never rubbed a blister, and are 100% water-proof. My feet stayed dry and comfortable the whole time. And the shaft is adjustable, which came in handy tucking in jeans. Nothing broke, nothing leaked, nothing rubbed, nothing fell apart. I can't speak highly enough of these boots. First Merrell's I ever purchased; will not be my last.

I purchased this pair of boots and am waiting to see how the other two pair of boots that I ordered will fit. Initially I thought perhaps to return these Merrells as the arch support is in a weird position. I removed the inserts and placed two separate different custom molded inserts inside. One molded insert was make of rigid foam and still felt uncomfortable. Once I put in my slightly older inserts made with partial hard plastic that covered the arch of the boot, the boot fit very comfortably.4.5 with my own orthodicsI almost purchased a 10.5 instead of the 10. My regular shoe is 9.5 but with orthoditics I always order up to 10 and wear thin socks or no socks. I was surprised that with my med thick socks and orthodics that the size 10 boots felt fine. I hope that this review will help those in my same situation with molded inserts. My recommendation is to size up only if using molded orthodontics and medium thick socks.I will be wearing these on a long flight and walking in the snow more than 10 hours on cobblestone and incline and decline streets, at Christmas Markets in December. I was looking for a pair of boots that could be comfortable for long walks and touring and would also look nicer under long dresses for more formal functions we will be attending (than bulky snow boots).

I wore the Captiva Launch boots for years and now these seem to be the replacement or upgraded version. Once broken in, they fit like perfect feet gloves. I have a funky shaped foot and so it takes a little time for the leather to yield. Once it has though, these boots are great! I can dress them up or I can wear them hiking. Also, I noticed that the actual bottom of the shoe and sole were separate pieces so I am hoping that if I wear the sole out, they can just replace that without too much hassle. I love these boots!

I'm pleased with these boots. I ordered them as my "backup" pair because I originally bought a Keen pair. That one didn't fit well in the ankle (baggy and awkward) and I sent them back. These Merrells arrived and I've loved wearing them since the fall weather kicked in where we live. I have average calves and there is a bit of space around, but it's just fine. If you have small calves, they would flop around on your legs. I like how they taper in a bit at the ankle (flattering, but not tight) and they are great for walking. They look nice but are still comfortable and have arch support. I ordered one size up to accommodate winter socks and that seems to be just right. I liked the fit so much that I ordered a pair in black also.

These are the most comfortable boots I have worn. They are made in the shape of your foot, no tight spots. GENIUS. AMAZING. My older knee high leather boots have become more snug on my calves over the years. My calves are 15.5 inches around at the fullest part. I am sz 9 womens. These boots are shorter but that's what I love about them. They don't need to fit my upper calf, they don't reach that tall. They fit with skinny jeans perfect. Great high quality leather. I have not had a chance to put the waterproof claim to the test yet. A great every day boot. So worth $99. Buy them.

I bought these for a trip to Scotland. They were perfect straight from the box. They never needed a break-in period, which was good as the first time I got to actually wear them was on the flight overseas. That said, they are too big to pack and my feet were a little toasty after being in the boots for about 30 straight hours. I wore them the entire trip (except for a dinner one night) and my feet were never wet or uncomfortable, whether tromping thru wet grasses and puddles, climbing castle stairs, or walking up hills.

I have been getting a size 7 1/2 lately because most shoes hurt my feet. I'm 52 yrs old, 5'2, 160lbs and my feet sometimes feel wide or swollen - so I get wide or a half size up. All they had in these were 7, so I bought them thinking I could return if they were too small. They're not. They're perfect. Like gloves. I'll admit that I had to wedge my foot in the first time, that's what makes them fit so perfectly. They're the difference between getting a coat off of the rack and having one tailored to you. I'm glad I bought them. I'd been looking at them for a couple of years.

I own 8 pairs of Merrell boots in various heights and colors. This is my first pair in the Tavvy style and I love them. Cannot think of wearing any other boot brand than Merrell. They are wonderfully comfortable and they wear like iron. Many compliments on these! I will say that these are mid calf boots, I would not label them tall.

I bought these boots as I needed something smart enough to go to work and meetings in and then durable enough to go through fields and puddles with my children. The boots have fulfilled both needs brilliantly while keeping my feet warm, dry and very comfy. Though as mentioned by other reviewers are more mid-calf than tall and while having a sole grippy enough for wet/frosty weather, I don't know if I would wear them out for very snowy or muddy days.

long time can of Merrill older model footwear, andp the Travvy boots are my favourite.I'm super happy with this purchase, a perfect fit, great price and quick delivery.looking forward to wearing them in the Fall.

I first ordered this in a size 8, but it was too tight, so I returned it and ordered a 9. The 9 is too wide in the toe area. Makes it look like rain boots. The boots are also very stiff. I think it would be painful to spend a long day in them. I returned the 9 too.
