Very impressive build quality, incredible sturdy and the peak design plate fits well in the base too so I can use the same plate on my peak design clip and tripod while out and about. Thought neewer would be slightly budget in their materials/precision but clearly not. I've used a quick release system that came with a cheaper K&F tripod and that felt horrible in comparison to this, it was plasticky (the baseplate and the quick release lever mechanism) and would pop out constantly, almost dropped a camera because of this. This one, though, feels extremely secure even when using the peak design plate. The added lock feature gives me a better sense of security too. As others mentioned it can be slightly fiddly to get in, but actually you just need to put it in away from the latch on the baseplate and that seats it perfectly every time. The click is un-mistakable so once it clicks, it's in.

It can be a bit fiddly locking into place and unlocking, but you get used to it quickly. Otherwise, a great product. Bought 4 and attached to all my gimbals and tripods. Massive time saver, could never go back!

This is an excellent piece of kit. So much safer and easier to use than the wind in Arca Swiss winders. Camera clicks into place and is locked in safe and secure. I strongly recommend this.

Very disappointing for Neewer. The locking mechanism sticks and its very difficult to open. Not one of their best products. Also very heavy for it's size.

I've had two of these and can vouch that they work, maybe better than expected. I use one at the base of a 30-inch selfie stick with an Insta360 X4 camera on top, then that gets stuck to the top of my Jeep to record offroad trails. Even with that camera up there snapping hard back and forth all day up there as I bounce down the trail, this mount has never broken off and it lets me quickly release the camera for lens-dusting during stops. One tip: for extreme use like this, you'll want to secure the base using Loctite blue. The base has an adapter screw to bring it down to 1/4", and that can loosen in extreme conditions (like mine) if you don't secure it with some Loctite. Two nitpicks: first, on this latest sample, when snapping the plate into its base, the lever to unlock it snaps over so hard that it gets sort of stuck and is hard to release. Repeatedly snapping and releasing the plate into the base gradually worked some of that stiffness out however. (The first one I got didn't seem to have that issue.) The second thing is that since I'm often using this in dusty conditions, the base-plate mechanism eventually gets dirty inside and stops functioning as smoothly, and it cannot be disassembled for cleaning (per the instructions). It might be possible to clean it by soaking it in solvent or something but this time I elected to just buy a new one. Overall this is fantastic for my purposes and I'll probably be buying more in the future.

A solid, secure quick release clamp. I bought a few of the G34 and one G47. The top portion is identical, the only difference is the base slightly taller on the G47 and machined differently. The bases can be mounted on a 1/4 or 3/8 screw or clamped in a regular arca Swiss clamp. There are two safety pins that are used when using a clamp. They can be removed with the provided allan wrench if needed so it can mount flat when using the screw if needed. The plate fits perfectly in the Newer the Falcam and the PD clamps. It snaps in firmly and doesn't wiggle. In fact the spring that snaps the plate is a little too strong. It locks it down with such force that there's no way it's going to accidentally release although there is an extra lock that you can activate if you want. The negative of being such a strong spring is that it snaps in firmly that it's takes a lot of force to release it. It's like it wedges itself in. I fixed it by wedging a small piece of rubber at the end of the slot so it doesn't wedge in but is still firm enough that the plate doesn't wiggle. It acts as a sort of shock absorber and makes it much easier to operate. A slight redesign could fix this but it's easy enough to do yourself. The plates and clamp make it an easy switch from from my PD clamp, the Falcam camera clamp or strap clamp to the tripod. Quick easy and secure. Apart from the normal use having it with the arca base you can remove it quickly if you need use the regular arca clamp for a nodal or focusing rail or an L bracket for vertical shots. Got these on sale for a good price. A lot cheaper than the lever locking arca clamps.
