will this fit between two walls with little room either side, how can we slot in the roof panels

Confined spaces will not make the construction any easier, however it is possible to fit the roof panels sequentially  starting at one end and then sliding in from the sides rather than the ends and then bending...this is not easy  and a minimum two people required.Mine was in a confined space, i finished constructing it in a more spacious area, added castors to each leg and rolled it into position!Overall a fabulous piece of kit and worth all the effort.

How restricted is getting the top sheeting in place when constructing close to another building (is the building alongside the carport is higher)

I had the same issue where this carport was going in between a garage and bungalow so you could not get high side access on a step ladder to locate the roof panels.  All you do is work from underneath putting the step ladder where you can pop up trough the roof zone.  Starting at one end of the carport using a step ladder you drill and bolt on the right and left end panels first and you can do the high edge bolts up on the ladder moving to ground level for the lower bolts.  Then you do the next two panels one on the right and one left until the last two panels to go in are at the other end. The frame construction and fixing it to the ground takes two people but once constructed the roof can be methodically done by one person.  It's  not hard just a bit of up and down a stepladder.  I had a friend help me assemble the frame and I finished the roof on my own.  Whole event took a iong summer day.  Just make sure you have a good solid level base that will let you drill and secure sturdy anchorage for each let and all will be fine.  Mine is almost 4 years old now and it's just great!

Did anyone raise the height to around 2.6m i have a classic vw bus i want to protect andnits a hi top.many thanks

Hi Lisa,Yes I raised the height of my Arcadia 5000 carport by approx. 40cm from standard to allow the side gutter to be above a standard door aperture on the side of my house.It's not the easiest thing to do, but if you want me to send you a couple of images just drop me an E-mail on Donnelly_Kieron@yahoo.comOne thing you need to watch out for is the local council regulations regarding height limits on temporary structures which for me is actually only 2.5m.Hope this helps.Kieron
