This pump is doing a great job. It has a pre-filter to remove large items before entering the sand filter. It came with all the necessary clamps, hoses and adapters to connect to pool 1-1/4" fittings.

This pump does work better than the pump that came with my Colman pool, but assembly is difficult, and the filter basket gasket doesn’t seal correctly. Water will leak out if filter is not running. In addition to this, there is no place to find a replacement gasket!!!!! I might just order another pump and take the gasket out and send pump back with my old one if someone can’t tell me where to purchase replacement gasket!!!!!

This filter works much better at keeping our pool clean than the filter that came with the pool and we are generally happy with it. However, once you've removed the cover to the strainer filter, it is difficult to get it back on without leaking. The gasket doesn't seem to fit properly.

We bought a Coleman pool and the filters you have to buy is ridiculous... This pump is definitely the best upgrade you can buy. When it came we had to buy the sand... But after that it's ran all summer without any issues. Saved enough on not having to buy filters to pay for this in one summer..

No instructions, my first pool so I don’t know what I’m doing with out the manual or how to set up. I also didn’t know it needed different sand 🤣 luckily I was told beforehand . Have not used yet

I didn't know if this pump would work as well as the Intex brand we were having to retire last season. We have now used it for one summer, and it did well, especially considering we didn't clean/backwash it as often as was suggested, and it still kept the water clear. We have a 54", 15' diameter above-ground pool and are not the best at keeping up with the hard part of pool ownership. This pump helps.

I followed all the setup instructions carefully for this sand filter — added the correct amount of sand just below the max line, made sure everything was sealed properly, and even backwashed and rinsed before running the filter. Despite all that, sand still keeps blowing back into the pool.I disassembled the entire unit and found no cracks in the laterals or the standpipe, which are the usual culprits. Everything looked fine. Still, sand continues to return to the pool, making the water cloudy and unusable.If it’s a valve or gasket defect, it’s ridiculous that a brand new unit would have that kind of issue out of the box. Clearly a design flaw or poor quality control.Very disappointed, and now I have to waste more time cleaning up and possibly replacing parts on something that should have worked from the start. I would not recommend this model unless you’re ready for a headache.
