Rain or shine, this outdoor padlock has been extremely reliable. It gives me great peace of mind knowing I can see exactly when and who opened it through the eGeeTouch app. My son is able to use the NFC tag to unlock the shed easily, which has been very convenient. It continued working properly even during heavy rain, with no issues at all. Setup was straightforward and simple, even for someone who isn’t very tech-savvy. I highly recommend this lock for anyone looking for strong security with monitored access!

I have 6 porta potties that need access by 60 employees. I've had to replace them multiple times because they just die with no warning leaving employees unable to use the bathroom. We have had to drill and cut them off after only a couple months in service, replace fobs and the app doesn't work all of the time. I am looking for a different product, I'd love to go back to using the reliable combo style locks. Imagine if it was for a rental or something even more safety sensitive than a porta potty. THE WORST PRODUCT EVER. HATE.

Super convenient ,no more keys or combos. Setup was quick and unlock with phone works smoothly. Using it on my shed and it feels solid and weatherproof.

We purchased these for our community beach access, even purchased an annual contract with eGee company. We've had to replace the lock two to three times now, as they stopped functioning. We love the option for log auditing but unfortunately the records date/time were not accurate and did not record effectively. Great idea, not well designed/implemented. We've switched to the eLinkSmart Heavy Duty Smart Padlock.

This is more than a basic lock. If you need a basic lock, there is no need to pay for this. This is different in a few ways. The first thing to note is that eGeeTouch is based in the US, Japan, and Germany. If you choose to use the app you are registering with a company with a US presence that has been in business for 20 years. Anymore, I won't register with an overseas company with some shady app. The app allows most of the advanced features. There is a free version for just a couple of locks. The advanced one allows users to control many locks, grant access, deny access, and log usage. This would be handy for any number of corporate or large-group applications. I tested this as a gym lock because I like the lightweight NFC coin that unlocks it. There are a few possible fail points which other reviews have already identified and described. I haven't had any failure yet but as with anything with a non-replaceable internal battery, it is a matter of time. I have 20 year old padlocks in a box in my garage. Those will still work perfectly for another 100 years. What you're paying for with this lock is administration and shareability. The Amazon ad isn't bad but there is a ton more information available online if you need to know more technical specs or use cases. This seems durable and has an average fit and size compared to your average lock. There is nothing cheap feeling about this. There are heftier locks and more reliable mechanical locks but you won't find another lock that boasts this kind of access administration. A key consideration for deploying something like this is customer support. eGeeTouch is an actual company with a physical presence which means they are growing their reputation over the long-term. While I haven't had reason to contact support, I have a lot more confidence in established companies than I do in overnight popup importers.

Worked somewhat well for about 8 months. Interface with app was clunky/buggy but usually functional. Some features simply never worked, like usage logs. Despite being rated for all weather and bot seeing any extreme conditions like freezing or major rain, the lock mechanism started to bind after a couple of months and continues to bind intermittently despite lubrication. Unfortunately, after 8 months, the battery suddenly died (no low battery indication when using up to that point- not sure that function actually worked). Battery will not charge. Continues to work normally when plugged in to power via charging cord, and shows appropriate lights for charging and full charge while connected, but immediately dead again when unplugged. Overall, seems pretty half-baked despite this being the 5th generation of this product. Advertised with one year warranty. Contacted company but have not received a response.

Durable and works as intended. Been using it to lock my shed and so far no issues. No need to use a key to lock/unlock everytime!

Just wanted to shout out this smart padlock! Super easy to use, no more fumbling with keys. The tap-to-unlock works fast, and it’s held up great outdoors. Bonus points for sharing access via the app. Would recommend! ⭐️🌟

この南京錠の造りは重厚で堅牢 存在感抜群のスマートパドロックです。eGeeTouch製の錠は、スマート トラベルロックの粗悪で雑いイメージが有り、半信半疑で購入。少々お高いですが満足のいく物でした。簡易日本語説明書と直感的にも分かり易い日本語スマホアプリ「eGeeTouchManager」を使い登録や操作、NFCスマートキーでの解錠ができます。ちなみに安価市販品NTAG215等のNFCカードやタグでも登録できます。(コイン型の方が高認識率でした)合鍵も作れてセキュリティは万全です。肝心の充電池の持ちは、まだ不明です。 ※改良希望な点は、下部の電源ボタンが押し難くかなり力がいる。そのうちゴムがへたるのではと懸念・・5th GENなのに、もう少し使いやすく願います。!!

I like the products. The lock allow me to share lock access and unlock via my phone. No worry missing key anymore. The Key Fob alternative open method convenient for my mom to use it. Love this product and recommend for everyone.

This is a great product. The EGeeTouch app allow me to grant access easily from far away. I can track all the access history with just a click from the app remotely. The accompany NFC fob give my mum so convenience to access the lock as she don’t know how to use smart phone.
