Built-in automation or scenes cannot control door locks.
The lock, keypad and hub in general work well, I like the design and convenience. In general this looks like a well thought through system. Keypad alone makes huge difference, for us the most useful part is ability to lock the door with one button and open it with fingerprint. It can also unlock door automatically through geofencing. Support is responsive and useful.Built-in automation functionality is kind of primitive - inability to create a scene or automation which locks all doors at once is odd. You can trigger an action with lock, but you cannot control locks with an action or scene. Fortunately it works through Apple HomeKit integration (via Matter protocol), so this can be done if you have Matter system.

Great lock, super easy install
This is my first smart lock. I researched the heck out of smart locks and found this one checked off a majority of the features I was looking for. Amongst a lengthy list, a few items were a must:>Has to be easy to function/wife approved. I have a non-tech savy spouse and she would not approve of anything more involved than traditional operation. I also have a teenager to contend with. Lock has to open from the exterior without having to open your phone to access an app.>I want to be able to physically look at the lock to see it is locked. Some smart locks don't have any physical indicators to tell if it's locked. It's not something that is advertised one way or the other, but you'll miss it off you don't have that. This lock has a red dot on the part that turns the show you its position. Aside from the indicator dot, the lock has a function that, in conjuction with the sensor it comes with and the app, locks the door after it has been closed. I was sick of coming home to find my kid didn't lock the door behind her after school. With auto-lock, all she has to do is close the door. And don't worry about getting locked out, the keypad is out there.>Needs to be compatible with a keypad. This keypad rocks! You can use a password, scan your finger or add NFC keys. The NFC keys are a game changer. You add up to 10, I think, and it takes just a few seconds to register new keys. The lock only comes with one NFC card. So you'll have to purchase a bag. I bought a bag of 20 NFC tags for $10. They were keychain tags and are worth everything penny. Also in the app you can set if they are permanent or temporary. If they are temp keys you can even set how long they are active. All great features! The lock itself is very robust and a breeze to install. You keep the existing keys and half of the hardware. The internal side of the deadbolt is removed and replaced with the lock. It comes with two new threaded screws, screw those in and you're pretty much done. The hardest part are the little screws that screw into the sides of the box. Literally took me longer to do that than the actual install. Forgot to mention you can also lock/unlock it with Alexa with the included hub (though I use Home Assistant).Great product all around. I will highly recommend this to anyone looking for a smartlock!

Great smart lock if you get the accessories
The media could not be loaded. This smart lock is a perfectly functional but average smart lock. If it's your first or only smart lock, it will do the job properly. However, it ends up looking rather average when you compare to the functionality offered by other smart locks at the same price range. For context, I already have a ULTRALOQ U-Bolt Wifi Smart Lock installed that I'll be comparing this lock to, and I got this smart lock for another door. Out of the box, the U-Bolt has a keypad and is wifi-enabled for remote access which are both features that the Smart Lock Pro requires separate accessories ($50 for the hub and $50 for the keypad) for yet the U-Bolt is the same price as the base Smart Lock Pro. If I were someone who cared to consolidate everything into one app, had other SwitchBot integrations to connect the Smart Lock Pro to, or already had an existing SwitchBot Hub, then I would see the appeal of sticking with the Smart Lock Pro and paying extra for all the accessories to unlock the full functionality. I would have also liked to see this smart lock come with wifi out of the box without needing a hub or included a keypad as part of the standard package. While I can understand the desire to lower the price by offering a barebones package, in practice, having to take out your phone in bluetooth range and use the app to unlock and lock the door is really annoying. There are definitely things that this lock does better than others: the simplicity of installation, lock compatibility, and motor power. I was very impressed with how fast I was able to install this lock despite having to take off half of the deadbolt. The box came with everything needed to install the lock including tape to hold the lock in place and even a screwdriver. I've installed other locks which took a long time because I had to take off both sides and put together the innards of the lock. Locks that just fit over the existing knob don't have the compatibility that this locks has. There was one annoyance with the installation: The tiny hex security screws for both sides of the lock are annoying to install when you don't have much clearance on the side of the lock especially since the lock is so bulky and sticks out so much. I would have wanted the lock to be wider or longer than stick out so much.Other smart locks that I've used also had trouble locking when the deadbolt is not perfectly aligned or a tight fit and this lock had no problems with that. Turning the lock manually is very smooth and tapping the button to automatically lock is just as fast. So far I haven't seen the lock jam. While the lock does provide a magnet for the door to detect when it is closed so it can auto-lock, there is no space on the side of my door to fit the magnet. Fortunately, this smart lock can still function without it installed; you just don't get any auto-lock functionality which I can live with as I don't want to rely on that.Another piece of functionality that I wasn't able to test but seems really cool is the ability to pair unlocking or locking the door to an NFC tag. It seems like tapping the NFC tag with your phone will trigger the app to unlock or lock the door so at least that can save you from having to open the app.Edit: I was so frustrated with unlocking the lock solely with my phone that I got the keypad and now the experience is so much better. The keypad is solidly built with clicky buttons and the right amount of lights to indicate status. It was dead simple to pair to the lock, mount it outside the door, add a new unlock code, and enroll a fingerprint. SwitchBot seemed to have thought of everything when it came to the entire keypad package including multiple ways of mounting and even a wet wipe to clean the surface where you're going to mount it. It also came with a NFC card that you can use to tap against the keypad to unlock although I'm not sure why you'd use that to unlock over a key code or a fingerprint. The keypad supports up to 100 codes, fingerprints, and NFC cards all locally which is truly impressive. It also has emergency codes and fingerprints which will trigger a push notification through the app, but unfortunately this functionality requires the hub.The nicest thing about the keypad is that because it is mounted separately compared to other smart locks, you can still reuse your existing key to open the lock.I'm still frustrated that this lock isn't WiFi enabled and requires a hub especially when there are other SwitchBot devices that don't require a hub, but having at least the keypad has made it possible for someone else to unlock the lock without me being around.

Very poor customer service
Installed my Switchbot and it worked great for 24 hours. The keypad lost power. Took the keypad off and checked the battery. The keypad works great for another 24 hours. Even bought new batteries and the same. Realizing there was an issue reached out to customer service by phone and the number just rings. Reached out by email and it took 5 days for them to respond. I have asked to exchange the broken unit for one that works and all they say is send a video. I sent the video and now no response. They asked for my number to call me and discuss this issue. That was over a week ago and no phone call. This has continued for over a month. No exchange, no refund I would not recommend a product that has poor customer service and can't back their products.
