One thing - it is pretty tall and doesn't fit under any of my cupboards, so that could be a potential issue for some. The machine is easy to use — loading the CO₂ was a breeze, and SodaStream includes a great illustrated instruction book with lots of tips for making tasty drinks. I played around a bit to figure out my ideal level of carbonation, and now I’ve got it just right. I mostly drink unflavored soda water, and it’s crisp, refreshing, and exactly how I like it. I guess I have no reason not to give this item five stars. Works the way it is supposed to work. I used MIO as my flavoring (Orange) and the bubbles make it taste more exciting instead of just flavored water. I have no complaints about the fizz since it's all up to me as to how much CO2 I inject. Just as easy to use as what previous posters showing how to set it up and use it. My purchase was not a Prime purchase, but I was very surprised and happy when the Sodastream appeared on my front steps two days early.

My father loves soda. We used to purchase soda in siphon bottles when there was home deliver; many years ago. Sodastream does a good replacement for the job. It is not perfect but close. This 3-pack CO2 kit was excellent value to start and give it a try. Unfortunately cartridge replacements are very expensive and probable is cheaper to purchase bottle soda which also carries better bubbling. Refiling services are also hard to find, and if you do, it probably are not cheap either.

Easy to use. One canister lasts a long time. My wife loves to make fizzy Snapple!

This is a great efficient set up especially if you are just wanting sparkling water. It's super easy to set up and use. I think the best bang for your buck is this 3 canister set because if your going to do an exchange you will need the third quick connect canister anyway for the exchange program. Order your flavors from Amazon not Soda stream.. unless you want to wait two weeks for it to get to you. I Do NOT recommend exchanging your cannisters with Soda Stream exchange program because if you read their fine print they charge you if you don't get their cannisters back to them in a set period of time and charge for shipping it to you. There are other companies out there don't do that, which is why I gave them only 4 stars (Do your research). There are multiple options. Soda stream flavors are actually pretty good for what they are. If the artificial sweetener taste bothers you then you can add a little simple syrup or another flavor and get it pretty close. Cost effective vs. buying.. not really. Better for the environment... that's a definite yes. Plus, it really does open the door to endless possibilities of flavored drinks. Pro tip: boil your water if using tap, let cool and then chill in the fridge before you use your Soda Stream for even better carbonation. Make your own Simple Syrup for an inexpensive sweetener. When your done carbonating your chilled water use caution when adding flavor. Add a little bit of flavoring or syrup at a time, waiting for the carbonation to calm down before adding more. Make sure you hear the carbonation expel from the line completely before removing carbonated water bottle from the Soda Stream. I will update this review in a couple months. So yes, get a Soda Stream and enjoy.

Didn’t think I would use it a lot and I was very wrong. Homemade soda using 20% fruit juice and a couple stevias are really delicious!
