I use it to feed birds using shelled sunflower seeds when we travel. I used a 1 gallon bucket and lid and tried a 3/4” diameter hole, but found that the seeds did not flow consistently into the feeder. So I used the top 3/4 of a milk jug to make a hopper inside the one gallon bucket. Then enlarged the hole in the bottom of the gallonbucket to match the diameter of the spout on the milk jug. This worked really well. I set the timer to run for just two seconds and that spreads plenty of seed. Then I repeat a feeding later in the day for one second.

This has been a game changer for me-I can leave for the weekend and my chickens are fed consistently at times and intervals I set. Attached to a 5 gal bucket and hung up in the chicken run. Timer is easy to use and the directions are printed right on the product. I love the solar option and plan to buy a panel in the near future but fresh batteries last about a month.

Installed onto the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket for an automatic chicken feeder for my four hens. Worked for about six weeks since then it is very inconsistent basically not working at all. I put new batteries in it several times and it doesn’t seem to make a difference, so unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this product

Works great! The timer is easy to figure out we have it set to go off two times a day and it’s been on point every time. Be careful of other little critters trying to get in through the feeder hole though. We use this in our chicken coop and have other birds fly up and sit on it like a perch and eat from the feeder hole as well as a mouse found its way inside but I do believe thats things that we can work to fix nothing to do with the quality of the product. Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone asking.

Works great. Does not jam , even with pellet bird feed. I do 3 cycles a day on specific feed times, one second bursts and that feeds 12 hens and one rooster. The AA batteries lasts over a month. Best purchase ever.
