With ipads getting thinner and thinner, the concern that they will break due to small drops grows. Otterbox has always made quality products that really up the protection for the phones and tablets they are designed to protect. This is no different. It's a very rugged case that's on the heavy side but provides good protection as the tradeoff for the extra weight and bulk. Perfect for environments that are tough or with kids who don't know the value of the tablet. Recommended.

As someone who values both protection and usability for my devices, I was initially hesitant about the OtterBox Defender Series Case for my iPad Air 13-inch (M2). However, after using it, I'm thoroughly impressed with its balance of durability and practicality.Pros:1. It's reassuring to know it exceeds military drop-test standards.2. Surprisingly Lightweight: Despite its robust protection, the case is not as heavy as I anticipated. This was a pleasant surprise, making it comfortable for extended use.3. Built-in Screen Protector: The integrated screen protector is a great addition, offering an extra layer of defense without compromising touch sensitivity.4. Versatile Stand: The four-position stand is incredibly useful, accommodating various viewing angles for typing, watching videos, or general use.5. This is a pretty protective and easy case to have for your ipad. First thing I will say is make sure you have the correct size ipad. This is very specific and will not fit all models. That being said, this is pretty easy to install the case on the ipad but you will need to make sure you screen is clean just to avoid having those dust under the screen protector. The screen protector is NOT temper glass so be aware of that. The actual screen protector does not remove response of any kind but it does get scratched easily so be careful not to get something like a key pressing against it. There is a stand for this which is pretty sturdy. The case hugs onto the ipad well so you do not have to worry about it slipping around. The edges are pretty padded to provide protections on corner drops. This is a THICK case so expect it to make your ipad bigger and heavier as any otterbox case would be. It has a standard black color is great. It is protective but you can see scratches and stuff on the case overtime. But I do not see issues with the sides or edges becoming warped from the heat. I found no issues with charging or syncing which is great. It is does a good job on protecting your ipad. Overall the case works great. It provides you with all the different types of protections such as screen protector and shock resistant. I am pretty happy with this case. The stand works great and I am able to adjust the device accordingly.

I had to return it because the packaging and enclosure was torn and broken. It was placed into the delivered sleeve while in this state.Absolutely pathetic.

I make heavy use of my iPad on a daily basis and this OtterBox case meets my primary need and secondary need. My primary need is for comfortable grippable case with the secondary case being max protection and a stand. The hard plastic outer shell is bulky and adds a noticeable amount of weight if you are holding the iPad for long periods, so I mostly leave it off. I like the feel of the rubber case in my hands. I do need a stand, mostly when I am using a keyboard, at times so the hard case is an essential need. I don’t need the hard shell protection as much but I am sure there will come a time that I am going to be super glad that I had it.I definitely had a challenge with installing the case on to my iPad. I first picked it up and could not easily determine how the case came apart in order to get my iPad inside. I had to resort to reading the instructions. Unfortunately, the instructions only got me a bit further and I had to search online for additional help and videos. I eventually figured it out and the included instructions made more sense after searching out additional instruction, but maybe they are a bit too succinct. I thought about taking off a star, but I only need to install the case once and it did not really take that long given the result being more protection for my iPad.

I always buy an otterbox defender case for my iPad and iPhone. It has protected these electronics from accidental drops.

I've had OtterBox in the past and found them bulky, that's not the case with this, it protection without too much bulk. Finally had my slip and dropped my iPad Air on to a wooden floor today, not so much as a scratch on it. Thank you OtterBox! This case and OtterBox screen protector saved me!
