Basic and compact printer that looks good and get the job done
I spent ages trying to find the most compact printer that looks nice with no frills that can get the job done and I am super happy with this. I can see from other reviews there are complaints that it doesn't include the USB but then again most printers don't include this cable. It prints documents fine just as expected. Inks are easy to get hold of and it looks neat. I use the latest Macbook and this was just plug in and print immediately which was a pleasant surprise, I didn't need to download drivers or software. 10/10, no complaints.

Great basic printer
If what you need is a basic printer, this will do the job.Very easy to set up using the disc provided. It doesn't come with a USB lead, but that's not the end of the world.Compact and lightweight for home use and does what it says on the tin. Only down side is it is quite noisy.

Simple but Effective
The printer is basic but produces good-quality print outs. Hence, it is easy to use and refill, although the FINE cartridges may not be the cheapest solution.

DO NOT PURCHASE
The last Canon I had was fine until, like all of them, it decided time was up and told me to send it off for repair. Canon know that we know that repairs, if you can get them, cost the earth. This appeared to be what I wanted - a simple printer, rather than an all-in-one machine controlled from small displays with frustrating touch-screens. Alas, I cannot think why they bothered to make it.The paper feed from an open rear tray is dodgy, regularly grabbing 2 or more sheets and wasting them. Duplex is ancient manual "turn over the sheets" etc, when most Canons just do it inside without fuss. On attempting to duplex-print a 32-page document, the first pages came out fine; the rest were in random order, some blank and a couple not bothered with at all. The software (or the printer's own buffer) cannot count. Cannon support had me trying various settings, which didn't work, and then just left me on hold, unwilling to admit that this printer is rubbish. The blurb says it prints colour photos on A5 size paper. It doesn't, as several sheets of photo-paper testify. I've tried 3 different applications, read the Manual, fiddled with the Inkjet Printer Assistant. All resulted in small prints, way off centre. The two ink cartridges - which cost more than the printer itself - aren't the normal Canon fit (open top and the trays slide into view) but more fiddly to insert in the front. Caveat emptor - if you are thinking of this model, please swiftly think of another. I can ill afford to do so, but this printer is soon going to the dump.

Excellent Printer for the money
I got this after a disastrous attempt to setting up HP printer using a phone app. The Canon was dead easy to set up, up and running after half an hour. It is basic and maybe a little flimsy but for the money I can highly recommend. Maybe best for light use as the cartridges are a bit expensive. Very happy.

Just about ok
I received the printer yesterday and I can't say I like it that much. I bought it to replace an old Pixma 4000 which had developed a 'printer head' error - I have the feeling that Canon build obsolescence into these printers to force you to buy a new one. The TS205 is rather flimsy and nothing like as sturdy as my old Pixma. In reality it doesn't look as good as in the photos. I tried to simply connect it and print but it gives a message that the print heads have not been aligned. I though I may be able to get away without installing the Canon software - which is available either on the enclosed CD or download from the Canon website. I had to install their software to do the printer head alignment. The printer made a noise like wood being cut with a saw for several minutes while it did the alignment. Then I could print. As others have mentioned, there is no USB cable supplied. As far as the inks are concerned, there are two cartridges 'black' and 'colour', the latter being all colours in one cartridge. This is not efficient because if it runs out of one colour you have to replace the whole cartridge. The inks are expensive, even non-OEM ones. You are probably better off getting a printer with separate inks, such as the Pixma TS5050.

A basic printer.
There's nothing fancy about the TS205, a basic printer. It does the job well via the single, rear paper feed. It can be more expensive (depending on source) than some 3-in-1 Canon printers but it has a very good print speed.
