Perfect replacement that paint doesn't flake off
We have a black sink and the previous drain flange was aluminum painted black which flaked off after a years use and looked terrible. This is all black plastic (not painted over) and has worked perfect. The stopper is also of great design and wife is so happy which makes me happy :)

Looks beautiful in the sink
I had doubts when I received this strainer because it was not metal but it actually looks beautiful with the black sink and is very good quality. The plumber even commented on how nice it looked. It was a big improvement to the silver strainer the sink came with.

Very nice
They match our sink. Easy to install and maintain. Thank you. Great price too.

Good quality sink strainer.
Good quality sink strainer. Has a hard plastic outer shell but the overall look is very very nice. The strainer/plug is metal & really nice. I’m very pleased with the way this looks in my sink.

Nice but
Up the price a buck or two to include a wide blade cheapy one use screwdriver. What worked for me was a hack saw blade. Using the bottom rounded part of the blade. grabbing it low i was able to tighten the screw.

Looks great!
Matches my black granite Kraus sink and black Kraus faucet. It’s a very hard plastic with metal fittings. I can’t speak to the ease of install but I do wish my plumber had used a black sealant. Just push down slightly and twist (to the right) to close the drain. In that second picture you can see the metal piece that has a small bead on it - I believe that’s what’s locking in place as you can hear the metal rubbing as you do that. Makes me wonder if this will last or not and if so, for how long. If it’s a short time - I’ll report it here. As of April 2023, loving it!

Great for my acryllic sink!
I was replacing metal strainers whose black paint had chipped off in less than 6 months. We have a black acrylic double sink. I was concerned that these polymer (plastic) drains would look cheap comparatively, but now that they are installed, they look at perform great! The installation was different than any previous strainers I have installed - instead of ring fastener that compresses the halves from under the sink this unit has a hollow bolt that tightens the halves together. The hollow bolt has notches to use for tightening but the span across the bolt is wider than the largest flat-head screwdriver I own; I was able to tighten the bolt by slanting the screwdriver. There was no need to use plumber's putty with this unit as the upper and lower washers provide an excellent seal. I tested the seal with cold and hot (but not boiling) water, running and draining with a 4-inch depth and did not have any leaks. One reviewer commented about the white plastic pipe being visible, but with the strainers in place (normal operation) the white inside plastic is not visible as you can see in the photos

This is cheap plastic that melted and broke when l poured boiling water down the sink
This was used in my black Kraus kitchen sink and l am so disappointed to provide this review. An expensive sink with a cheap sink waste
