there is safe and then plan B
I put these in the chimney vent for refrigerator in RV, This is reasonable protection for ammonia refrigerators.

Looks well made. Hope I never have to know if they work
I bought Two of these to install above my LFP solar batteries. They look very well made. Pretty heavy. Hopefully they never have to be tested. Just gives you a good feeling to know that they are monitoring them even when you are not home or asleep.

Small and easy to set up
As much as I want to praise this fire extinguisher to the skies, I can't really do it because (thank goodness) I have never had reason for it to perform its actual duty - putting out fires. As far as I can tell, there's no way to test this item. We are putting it out in the garage where we have some machinery in a smallish area, including a 3D printer, that we want to protect. We are happy it has a choice of how to affix the extinguisher...either use included hardware to affix to the wall or unpeel the sticky-tape covering and use the adhesive to make it stay put. This extinguishers appears to be exactly as stated, and as I mentioned earlier, I hope I NEVER have reason to find out how well it works. For now, we're just letting it sit out there, and we will keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get anything put in front of it. That's the only real caveat: don't put anything directly in front of it, to protect the part that spews the fire extinguisher liquid.
