The ketmaker 5518, 15g is a high performance sealing glue made from methacrylic resins specially formulated to bond and seal flat metal surfaces (flanges). It is a red one-component thixotropic and anaerobic gel that does not even spill on vertical surfaces and hardens quickly. It creates a strong, resilient, solvent-resistant and temperature-resistant seal that compensates for flanges movements caused by vibrations, pressure or thermal changes. The seal hardens by the catalytic effect of the metal and the absence of air. It fills the irregularities (up to 0.4mm) and protects the metal parts against corrosion. Ideal for emergency repairs or when the conventional seal is no longer available for sale. This gel can be used in industry, automotive, precision mechanics to bond flanged fittings of pumps, gears, motors, gearboxes and all flat metal surfaces. Technical characteristics : Viscosity : 400 000cP (mPas). Breakaway torque : 10N/mm². Resistant to temperatures from -50°C to +150°C. Initial curing time : 15min. Final curing time : 24 hours. How to use : Apply the gel directly to one of the surfaces to be bonded. The parts must be assembled with a rotational movement to ensure an even distribution of the product. It is possible to slightly oil the elements to be glued but the best resistance is obtained when the surfaces are degreased.
