Great for headless PCs
Works perfect for making windows believe there is a monitor attached. We use it for our headless PC that need remote access. Sometimes Windows doesn't like that there isn't a physical monitor attached and this solves the problem

Simple, Works
These work great and are a good value. On my Mac silicon systems (MacBook Pro Mi, MacBook Pro M3, Mac mini M2), the dummy display does not show up while remotely controlling the Mac with VNC. I thought the devices were DOA. Oops.

Even a dummy can use these plugs
Not much to know other than these plug into an HDMI port which is one way many displays connect to a computer. So the computer needs to have an HDMI connector on it or you use another converter or cable to provide the right connector for these plugs. These units remove the need to use a physical display. I use them so I can put the computer out of the way, without a screen (that takes up space) so I can access and use this computer remotely. These are also called display emulators, or ghosts. The only issue one needs to know is to make sure the max resolution that you want the computer to generate matches the max resolution of these units which is included in specs. This affects max resolution you will get on your remotedisplay. However, often the max resolution is higher than I might want when I work remotely which is not a problem. These are nicely packaged and look like they are well made - no problems using for over a year and should last "forever' if you don't use to pop off bottle caps. (grin)

Works great
Needed this plug to remote into a headless computer and it worked perfectlyPut parsec onto a desktop I was using as a NAS but when no monitor was plugged in the computer would just show as a black screen, this tricked the computer into thinking a monitor was plugged in so I could remote in no problem

Great for servers to RDP into
I host a couple servers that are sitting in a utility closet. I mostly RDP into them, and I was annoyed that the RDP session would mimick the resolution of the cheap, old monitor I had hooked into the servers in that closet, and that they had to have a display connected into them to get any kind of visual out, even through RDP.I bought these so I could have the full 4k that my home office computer uses, and without having to have a physical display connected into them all the time. and for that it works great. If I put the RDP in full screen, it looks and behaves like my monitor is connected directly to the target machine.I understand a lot of people use these for Crypto Mining, and to those people I wish your profit margin tanks and you lose everything you've invested. You deserve it. Sincerely, everyone who actually cares about computers and can't afford parts anymore.

Proper Dummy Plug that DOES emulate 4K
Popped it into a PC I run remotely and verified 4K emulation. WORKED. That's all I care about!
