Lifesaver with a fantastic warranty program
I am a dad with three driving-aged children, so we have SIX vehicles in our fleet, and I live in Nebraska so three of the cars have to sit outside in the COLD, COLD winter.I originally purchased this device in January of 2022, after dealing with dead batteries, but didn't have an opportunity to really use it (which is a good thing, because you don't want to have to use this regularly). The device sat for 10 months in the case. I had trouble getting it to take a charge beyond one LED (out of four). My first reaction was, "well I guess I have to buy a new one," but before I did, I sent the support team a quick email. The team from NexPow responded quickly, and asked me to try a few troubleshooting steps.Initially, the battery would not show any improvement, and Jane from NexPow asked me to try one last thing. I completely discharged the battery pack (I thought) and tried charging it to no avail. I plugged a battery pack into it, left it over the weekend, and sent Jane a note saying it didn't work. She told me I could have a full refund or a replacement, and I opted for a replacement. On Monday, I received a brand new unit, and NexPow asked if I could send the unit in so that they could analyze it to improve their products. Before shipping it in, I plugged it in one last time, almost on a whim, and the unit charged completely!!!I have sent the NexPow team an email offering to buy the replacement unit, as we recently had a VERY cold snap, and I want to make sure we have more than one in case of emergency. I'll see what they have to say, but I want to call out BOTH the quality of the product (since I was able to get it charged) and customer service that was probably the best I have received for a $70 device on Amazon! For those reasons I HIGHLY recommend this product. This is really an insurance policy for you to have in your car in case of emergency, so knowing that I have a reliable product with excellent customer service is fantastic peace of mind!!!I'll follow up if/when I have a chance to use this as a jump-starter!UPDATE: I did use this on my wife's car which sat through really cold weather for a few days without driving, and the electronics in the car depleted the battery to the point where it wouldn't start. I connected it up and it fired up on the first attempt. This is a very simple solution to use, and it works just as I would have hoped.

Easy jump start multiple times
Very impressive device to jump start a vehicle with a depleted battery. Compact and portable, rechargeable with a simple USB plug in and good for multiple starts in between, holding a charge for a long time, still ready to use.It can also charge a phone or other devices that use a USB plug. It has a small flashlight function. All in a compact carrying case to keep in the trunk.

So far SOOOO GOOD
Well, let me just say, I don’t typically leave reviews unless I’m totally blown away or the product sucks so terribly bad. As far as this product goes, I just got it today and literally just used it for the first time and what can I say. It did everything it said it would. Been having a lot of car issues and the last issue was a bad battery. So I went and got a new battery, hooked it up, car started right up. Good as new lol. Go to use the car the next day and it won’t start. So instead of trying to find someone with jumper cables and have them drive to my house. I decided to give this a try. I was really going to get the top selling one on Amazon first but it was $99. This one is the second best. And it was about $50. So I figured what the hell. I’ll try the cheaper one and if it suck’s, I’ll return and get the more expensive one. Got this thing in 1 day. The carrying case it comes in is top notch. Like really well done and feels durable. Then to the jump starter itself. It definitely has a plasticy feel to it but by no means doesn’t feel super cheap. For the price I wouldn’t expect it to use any higher quality materials. It comes with a USB c cable and brick to charge it with. I let it get fully charged, plugged the connector in for the cables, hooked it up to my car and boom, fired up instantly. Checked the battery on the jump starter and it’s still full. I mean what more could you want. But wait, there’s more lol. It also has a built in flash light, and a built in battery bank for charging your phone or what not. Probably won’t be the fastest charging but better than nothing and is just an added bonus for what this thing is. It also has a USB C port for charging the device. Says out too so you may be able to fast charge with it. But all in all, I’m really pleased with this purchase. Will update over time if I have any issues.

Nice, compact and good packing with lot of charge
I bought this product based on several four plus star reviews as I've not used a Li-ion jump starter before. Our car was needing extra power on cold days to crank and this is ideal to keep for those emergency days. Need to see how long it holds the charging. Since it's a 20k+ mAh it takes awhile to charge. But given the compact size, light weight and amount of charge it holds it's a good deal. There was a thirty percent discount on Amazon when we bought so the price was good as well. It comes with a nice padded bag to keep the battery safe and intact from bouncing. LED light was good but it's not high lumen if you wish to use it as work light. But it's good enough and serves purpose in case of emergency. Will update again if we find issues in future.

Lightweight, compact and multifunction
I bought this to replace an old fashioned (by today's standards) sealed lead-acid portable jump starter in my Prius. You are not supposed to use the Prius battery to jump start other cars, but I hate to leave someone stranded when all they need is a quick boost to get back on the road again. (i.e after leaving their headlights on or something)The downside to my old portable lead acid jump starter was its size and weight plus the fact that mine would self discharge in about 30 days. This unit is smaller than a set of jumper cables (rolled up) and is much smaller and lighter than the sealed lead acid jump starter it will replace. I can even slide it under a seat so it takes up basically none of the limited storage space in my Prius.I have not used it to jump anyone yet (I will update this review after I have more experience with the product) but initial impressions are positive. It came 3/4 charged and I was able to top it off in a couple hours using a standard USB wall socket (not included) and the included USB Type C cable. The unit was packaged well and comes in a well padded (zippered) case with a carry strap. I like the fact that I can also charge a phone off the device with the two built in USB ports and the flashlight is a nice bonus. The 21800 milliamp hour battery translates to about 80 watt hours at full charge. Basically that is about the same as a laptop battery. That should be enough to boost a weak car battery a few times or charge an average smart phone probably four or five times in an emergency. (Again I will update this with my real world results after I have more experience with the product). There are many other similar products out there and I don't have enough experience with them to rate them against each other. I think it would be fun to do in depth testing of different models and compare them against each other, unfortunately I also have a day job. I settled on this one based on the positive reviews it had, the battery capacity vs price and the length of warranty (after my bad experience with that lead acid jump starter that never worked as advertised and a manufacturer who refused to talk to anyone after 30 days) - lesson learned.Update: 1/28/20 I jumped a flooded 5.7 liter pickup today with a flat battery from too much cranking. The Nexpow jump starter was able to crank the engine over at full speed and we were able to perform a clear-flood operation and get the truck back on the road. The unit performed admirably as it took a few tries to get the truck started. An initial concern of the battery leads on the jump starter being undersized and possibly heating up under heavy load never materialized and even after cranking the engine over for several 10-15 second bursts, the charge indicator never went down much. The unit seems to perform as advertised.

Sleek, versatile portable design and well thought out.
I purchased the Nexpow 1500 automobile jump start battery, and honestly there isn’t anything not to like.First, it has saved me many, many times. It is small, comes with a very nice case, and works very well. Simple and easy to use, incredibly versatile, and portable, it is a great item to keep in a car.I would add I used it yesterday, approximately 4 months after an initial charge. It was well charged and jump started my car five different times without fail on the same day. (The car is a garage queen and I decided to go out. I knew the battery was drained but still went out with the pack)Simple to use, lots of power, reliable, and well made in my opinion and use.For future renditions, two possible changes or adds would be great. First a magnet to hold it securely to a body part of the vehicle, and second, some cables that were about twice as long.I would buy it again, and will probably do so for some Christmas presents!

Not quite what I needed, but might be better for you.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The charger arrived with a 75% charge, meaning I can use it right away to jump my car battery. I’ll update this review afterwards.UPDATE: Unfortunately, this charger wasn’t well suited to my car. I drive a Prius, and the battery charging terminal under the hood is in a notoriously narrow space. The wide, thick clips provided with this charger made it very difficult to attach them to the terminal. In almost any other car, this wouldn’t have been an issue, as the battery terminal would have been readily accessible without having to squeeze the clip into a tight space.More problematic was the fact that once connected, this charger produced enough power to run the car’s electrical system, but not enough to start the engine. In fairness, the AAA guy who I eventually called to jumpstart my car was using a much larger, heavy-duty charger (roughly the size of an actual car battery and probably about as powerful), and my car was slow to start even with that. It may be that my car battery is close to the end of its life, and that the Nexpow charger would’ve worked just fine on a “healthy” battery. Given the issues from the previous paragraph, however, it’s just not a good fit for me.On the plus side, the charger is compact and light, comes in a convenient case that’s well-made and easy to re-pack for storage, charges quickly from a wall outlet, and the flashlight is bright. And the company was responsive and pleasant to deal with.

Worked like a charm first time - 5 stars for now
My '97 Volvo battery always dies after a couple of years due to "leakage" (they can't find where) and lack of use. It often sits for weeks without being started. I could "hear" the 2-3yr old battery dying earlier this month and I knew it was only going to be a short matter of time, so I bought this thing (NEXPOW Car Battery Starter).Sure as hell, my battery was *almost* completely dead this morning. Door lights would light and power door locks were still operational, but when I turned the key in the ignition, ... nothing ... not even a sound. Stone dead.I had charged the NEXPOW Car Battery Starter the night before (arrives with 2 lights indicating ~50% charged) and charging to full power to where all 4 lights were lit only took around 2 hours at the most. I read the manual (doesn't take long, it's really short) while charging so I was ready to try it this morning. It worked like a charm. Engine turned over immediately, sounding like it had a fully-charged battery. As cynical as I was per the size and cost, I was truly impressed. Drove down to my mechanic's garage and replaced my Volvo's battery. Done.Pros: Does what it says. Simple to use. Just charge it first, follow the connection directions, and turn the ignition. Couldn't be simpler. I'm no mechanic - if I can use it, anyone can. And you can't beat the price. Small and stores easily in the case that comes with it.Suggestions: If it was me, I would raise the price a few bucks, and make the cables to the clamps about 4-6" LONGER. I had no problem placing the unit over the battery and connecting both clamps, but I could see there might be problems with some vehicles, depending on the engine layout. Worked fine for me though.I'd work on improving the manual too, though I could read and understand the one that comes with it enough to do everything right the first time.10 days after using it, I opened it up to see if it had any charge left after 10 days of non-use. ALL 4 lights were still lit, indicating it held a full charge for at least 10 days. Impressive!I will update this review if and only if I have any problems or issues with the NEXPOW Car Battery Starter in the future. But for the first time use, it worked great.
