Works well. Worth the money

Purchased on 4-20-25 for about $38. Used once so far for 1ga cable in a copper 2/0 lug. I Used the next size down die ( RECOMMEND ) and got an Excellent crimp. Very satisfied so far. Will be using for more 1/0 and 2/0 battery cable crimps. Tool seems solid and well built but probably not serviceable. Easy to use👍

This worked just as expected, seems to be a good quality. I have only used it a couple of times but it worked fine, I like the case, makes it easy to keep up with the additional sets!

Easy to use, just do not lose the paperwork, it makes it super easy to find the correct die for your crimp. One review said it will leave the crimp size on the lug, mine did not. So if you are looking to buy it for that reason, be aware it may or may not.Only downside I have seen so far is that I wish the die sizes were stamped to there you can read them while in the case. You also do need to leave one set of crimps in the tool for storage. There is not enough room in the case to store all the dies.

The hydraulic pump works similar to how a car jack works. Using the physics behind hydraulic pumps allows you to crimp wires extremely well. The size of the crimp clamps are imprinted on each clamp. The case holds all the clamps nicely. To ensure the clamps sit in the storage wells, a pair of clamps need to always be mounted in the pump. (Otherwise there’s not enough space to store the clamps.) The largest gauge it can crimp is 2/0 (which is the largest clamp in the kit.) My kit was complete and it came with no leaks like some other reviews mentioned. It appears very well built and sturdy. Not sure why some reviews say it does not crimp well. Mine crimped a 1/0 gauge wire extremely well and has a professional look to it. It makes a smooth hexagonal crimp. It does not smash just one side like other traditional crimpers. Overall, this is the best crimping tool I’ve ever used.

One of the best purchases I have made in years! As a General Class Amateur Radio Operator or HAM to most I am constantly putting connections on the ends of coax cable. I have purchased many tools just for this purpose but always had problems in having enough pressure applied to the large Ferrel ring to secure a strong ground. Not anymore this tool has completely fixed that problem as well as many more. Having to secure large cables to large battery connectors is a breeze. This kit gives you so many sizes of jaws you will never have to worry if your kit will work....it will! Lastly all that the kit includes is fitted in several compartments in the strong poly case that is included. I truly did not imagine getting the power and accuracy with such a great price. For the serious hobbyist and professionals this kit is for you.
