We never hope to be near a nuclear event and be exposed to radiation. But you never know what disasters or leaks or threats may lead to exposure. Once exposed, I was reading that you need to take potassium iodide within a few hours to protect yourself. I could just imagine everyone trying to rush and get their hands on some. I didn't want to take a chance. So I bought this, and I found it to be a good value because you get a lot of tablets for the price. You only need to take 1 tablet if exposed to radiation. So that leaves a lot of other tablets to share. I gave some to my family members to keep on hand. We also have them in our emergency evacuation Go Bags.

I got this for the family emergency kits. Blister packaging makes it easier and I can put 1 or 2 in each emergency bag. 3rd party tested claims. Scored so you can take a different dosage if preferred. Rugged packaging so I feel secure and a long shelf life.

The product page says Made in USA, and shows a tablet scored so it is easy to break into half or quarters. The product page also says 3rd-party tested.I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. Their earthnutri site is functional and informative. It has their phone number as well as a chat feature.Hopefully these won't be needed, but the price is friendly enough that people can get them now for their family members in order to be ready just in case. These potassium iodide tablets from earthnutri seem like just the thing for the kit.The tablets are well packaged and clearly labelled with a 2034 expiration. The blister packs are spaced out enough to allow cutting into smaller groups for easier distribution to wherever you might need them.Hopefully, these will never be needed, but if the Geiger counter ever starts going clicking crazy, we'll be ready and not immediately dependent on government resources.

Promptness is key in gaining protection from these tablets, so having at least a start dose handy helps.These tablets are packaged in a blister foil, individually sealed, and the shelf life is ten years: the ones I got state an expiration date of March 2034, almost ten years away.

If you live anywhere near a Nuclear power plant or military base where nukes are stored, these are handy to keep in one's emergency readiness kit so one doesn't have to rely on NRC or FEMA to distribute them to you in an emergency situation where it may be days before they deploy distribution personnel.Unfortunately the pack I received had been crushed in transit and cells of 1 of the blister packs were ruptured rendering them unusable. Other than that inconvenient issue, I feel the price on this brand is far more economical than most sources offering the same grade of tablets.
