Reinforced Concrete Design

Great book

This book, in my opinion, is the best available in the market for students and practicing engineers working with the ACI 318 building code. The book provides excellent explanations for those interested in learning about concrete mechanics and understanding the background to the code prescriptive requirements. The book is comprehensive and it not only deals with mechanics, but also with elements of structural concrete design. Design examples are well written and will help a student, young engineer and should be a reference list in a design office.

Reinforced Concrete DesignI was pretty excited when I found out that Pincheira and Parra-Montesinos were going to update the book. I really loved the previous editions, but when I received the 8th edition I got upset. The content is ok, they really worked on updating the book, but the examples PRINTING QUALITY does not represent a $175 dollar book. It feels like a paperback book with in a hardcover envelope.
