Excellent Hesling Device
I've been using this to treat extremely tight tendons, ligaments, and muscles for the past several weeks. I'm getting good results!

Strong enough to take away minor pains right away
I really like the strength of this device. At the highest setting for 15 minutes pulsing, it can take away pain immediately. For more problematic areas might need to use for a week to feel major reduction in pain. After using this for a week and a half all my pain was much reduced. I was using it for nerve pain on both feet. They were oversensitive. I had burning sensations as soon as l get on my feet. When l had to walk around, l had tendinitis and fasciatis pain all over until the sensory nerves calm down. After almost 5 months of putting up with this, l found this device and it started me on a healing journey. I only gave it a 4 star because the light diminished in intensity after 3-5 hours of continuous use every day for 10 days. I don't know if it's degradation of the light from constant use. So be careful of using it too much without giving it a break at high intensity. This light takes away pain my red light boot does not.

charging port self destructs
charging port has become inoperable, this unit was not subject to any abuse, just two old folks trying to keep the pain down. choose another brand

very well made and user friendly
This is a nice light therapy unit, have lots of hours of use on it for people and dogs with no complaints. Seems to help for joint issues and healing.

Good quality red light therapy device, but unclear on how the "levels" differ
This red light therapy device seems to be very good quality and works well. It comes with a charging cable, charger block, protective glasses, and a nice case to keep everything in. It is straightforward and easy to turn on and to use. I like how long the charging cord is, and the fact that you can use the device on the lowest level even while it's charging. I feel like most other similar devices cannot be used while being charged, so that is a nice feature. It also seems to have a pretty long battery life as it lasted a week before I had to charge it again when I was using it once a day for about 20 minutes. One thing I didn't like though is that it doesn't have a charging indication light so you actually can't tell when it is fully charged until you turn the device on. So I honestly don't know how long it takes to charge, I usually leave it on the charger for a few hours to be safe. The one thing that I was (and still am) really unclear about, after having read both the included manual and the amazon description page is the 4 levels of power. I couldn't find anywhere that explained how the levels differed, which definitely seemed like an oversight. While the device uses 3 different wavelengths, I did not understand if different "levels" used different wavelengths from eachother, or if all of the levels used all 3 wavelengths but at different strenghts/intensity?

Surprised this skeptic
Unit is constructed well enough and appears it will hold up well under normal use. No complaints about the build quality. The light head is small but this is useful to get it on almost anyplace you need it. You won't see all the lights lit up, only some, because those lights are on a spectrum we can't see. Don't think it is broken, its the way it should be. The timer is really helpful to control your usage time without chasing a stop watch or forgetting the exact time you started. It does not indicate charging when you plug it in but it is. You only know for sure when you turn the unit on and see the battery level. A little red/green light would have been nice. Now what really everybody wants to know is does this work? I'll give my own experience with it. I am a big skeptic of this. I can't imagine shining a "flashlight" on body parts is going to fix anything or relieve pain. So, I have a torn rotator cuff. It's almost always a soft, dull ache but sometimes flares up and is a distracting and significant pain, and all spectrums of discomfort in between. I was having a "medium pain" day the first time i used the device. By the end of the 20 minute run time it didn't hurt anymore and was good for the day. I still don't believe a "flashlight" relieves pain. It must be a coincidence. The next day the pain was reappearing off and on and I did not use the device for a week. A few days ago I was having a day the pain was significant and wasn't letting up. So I used the machine and the pain was gone. I'm still baffled, and am having trouble believing it's the light. I'm going to continue using it and see what happens. It does get really annoying holding the device in place. My suggestion and what works for me, is wearing well fitting but stretchy clothes (pants or shirt, depending on your area) and slide the device underneath to hold it in place. I can slide it under a shirt sleeve to hold it in contact with my shoulder and it stays put. Remember it does need direct contact with skin.

Easy to hold, good battery life
Portable Red Light Therapy Back Pain, 16X660nm + 4X980nm + 4X810nm Upgraded Handheld Light Device for Knee, Shoulder,Muscle & Joint Pain Relief, Infrared Light Therapy Machine for Human/Pet I think the concept of red light therapy is interesting, but since you really can't feel anything during use and since results aren't immediately evident, it's hard to judge how effective it is. I'm only basing my review on the device itself. It's easy to use and operate, and the charge lasts a long time. The one thing I will say is that it would be nice to be able to wrap something around the area to be treated so that you could walk around and do other things during use. Maybe there are devices out there that will allow you to do that? This device you need to hold in place, or move around the area you're treating. For me it's a bit hard to stay motivated to use this device consistently due to the lack of immediate results or pain relief, so it's really hard to judge effectiveness.
