Snug, Durable Fit - Just Get It
I've been using this case for almost a year now, and my A306 still looks brand new--thanks to this case. It's compatible with the screen protector I got for it, since the front facing side of the case has a raised lip. Without the case, the edge of my pocket, or my nail would snag the edge of the screen protector. This is due to the front of the walkman being completely flat, so any added material is relatively exposed on the sides. So if you're planning on putting a screen protector on your unit, you'll likely want a case like this. The case also seems relatively shock absorbent, with thick walls. Getting the walkman in the case requires a bit of force, but taking it out is far more difficult. The case's buttons have slight openings around some of the edges, which allows for the button clicks on the walkman to give true, physical feedback. You will feel the clicks, unlike cases that have a complete seal over the buttons. There are some nice sized holes for the USB port, as well as the "HOLD" switch. The hole leading to the 3.5mm headphone jack leaves plenty of extra room around it in the case that you have a thicker hilt on your headphone lead. My Sennheiser IE 200's have a bit of a thicker hilt than my other headphones, and struggles to fit the opening of the case on my phone, but has no issues with this case for the A306. I've heard mixed things about some of the other case designs out there, like the official flip one made by Sony or 3rd party manufacturers. Other than the back being somewhat of a fingerprint/oil magnet, this case is awesome! There probably isn't a better case on the market, especially for the price.

Finally a cover case that works on the Sony NW-A306 / NW-A307
Finally a case that works on the Sony NW-A306 / NW-A307. I tried 3 others, none worked good. This one you can find the buttons easily and they push in easily. Also I just thought I would throw this in the works about the Sony NW-A306 and its volume issues. The "A306" is controlled by the AU of europe. and 3-4 other countries, including the US have adopted the the volume limiting mandate of such and incorporated it into the A306 sold there. SO, I ordered the NW-"A307" from Japan. It has no volume limiting, no notifications about volume, no you needing to reset your volume every time you restart your player, no shutting off (YOUR "A306") volume while you and your friends are cracking out on an awesome sound system because you have listened for 24hrs. To long, (That's right that's what it does) at what they call full volume. The "A307" from Japan also has 25% greater total volume output. So now when i switch from turntable to "A307" I can now match their volume outputs together. Also the "A307" has 32gb. Internal drive, no more warnings you will need to clear cash for more storage space once aweek. SO just go and order the "NW-"A307" and never be interrupted, annoyed or controlled by a government while listening. Amazon you should be selling the Sony NW-A307. I would have bought one from you! So i made an error in my review when writing an "AU detective". I ment to type EU. It is The EU "European Union" that requires that all personal music players and mobile phones sold in the EU have a sound limit of 85 decibels (dB), and as i stated already many other countries have required this now as well, such as the USA.

Piece of garbage. Way too tight
Terrible! Way too tight. Impossible to remove. Removing caused the case to get stressed and damaged on the FIRST WEAR. Literally thought I was gonna break my device trying to get it out. Also, it’s too thick against the device—keys lose their travel/click so it’s hard to tell when you push a button. I’d give 0 stars if I could for something that should be easy.

"Black Clear" Cosmetically not as durable
Absolutely love the design, button feel, and how snug the case is. But sadly for the "black clear", it has the matte coating the get stressed, and flakes off after installing and removing it once, and it has the marks that look like cheap soft touch laptop after a month to year of use. Don't know if this is a problem with "Black Clear" (smoked) alone, since most reviews cover the "Black" model. Still would prefer this instead of a TPU or Silicon clear case.

Works just fine
It's pretty well designed. It's not thin or too thick either.

The ONLY good case I've found
I recently got the NW a306 and bought 3 different cases for it at the time. 2 different clear cases, and a plain silicone. The buttons were all terrible on those so I bought this 4th one, which I originally didn't order because I didn't want the textured back. This is the ONLY one with usable buttons, and not just usable but good and clicky just like quality phone case buttons. The one pic from the inside is too show how the buttons have the style of cutout that lets them be clicky instead of just solid silicon or tpu that you have to mush down. The buttons are also aligned correctly unlike some of the other cases. They also have the little raised dots on the "play/pause" and "volume up" button, which not all other cases had. The fit on this is amazing. A little bit difficult to get off since there's no camera cutout to get extra leverage. I consider this a good thing *especially* when compared to the ill fit of other cases available. Plenty of lip protection. I even have a screen protector on in that photo. Cutouts are all accurate as well. Definitely recommend this, and only this for the NW a306.

Protege muy bien el DAP, le queda bastante justo, por lo que será difícil retirarlo e insertar el micro SD, pero protege bastante bien incluso la orillas no permiten que la pantalla toque el suelo si lo pones boca abajo, muy recomendable

The cover serves the purpose as it should. No issues after one week of use. The only thing I didn't liked is the backside white shade. That's a personal thing. And yeah shipping took so much time . I believe it got shipped from China. Overall good.
