Weld-On 5/8" Spring Latch Assembly with Plain Tube, Trailer Gate Latch, Pack of 2

Latches worked great, used on 6x10 trailer gate.Maybe a little more travel on the latch pin would be nice, but with proper measurements and clearances these worked perfect.I would purchase again.

Quality product. The arms were a touch long but over quality above par.

Replaced the original probably 10-year-old ones on my tractor supply 5 x 8 utility trailer after one broke. FYI these are weld on. They are actually sturdier than the originals so they work better. Highly recommended!

DO NOT USE THESE ON A CAR HAULER !!!! THE STANTON CUT IT TWO OF THEM IN HALF AND THE CAR DECK FELL. IT WOULD HAVE CRUSHED THE CAR ON THE DECK BELOW (GREAT THING THE SPACE BELOW IS EMPTY). These appear to be a solid quality Lock but I hate the fact that you can pull the lock out of the hole and does not remain in alignment and have to work to get them aligned again to slide back into place. I put 4 weld beads around the pin to keep it in alignment but the fact that the metal is INFERIOR should be the overriding factor not to purchase them. I am sharing the following photo's. The Warranty Period is 30 days and these lasted 1,200 miles before they failed!!!!! After the pin was cut in half, I had to use the remaining length and you can see that the pin was starting to be cut in half again.
