Good camera, great App control
Great camera, would be nice is it was a little smaller but not at the expense of performance. Performance is excellent, build quality very good, App control is easy. Setting up requires a little patience, it did not work straight away but repeating process eventually saw the V-sim card authorised, recognised then an operational camera.

An all singing all dancing let down - AVOID
This was affordable, had solar and 4G capabilities (£4 a month, bargain) PLUS zone motion detection (for a small charge of £2 a month). What is there not to love, the setup was a bit iffy but after a factory reset it took 2 minutes. Easy. Peasy. Shame it just isn't fit for purpose.I bought this as you could set up Smart Notification which allows you to place zones where the camera will record if it detects movement, the camera by default has PIR to detect motion which is adjustable on a 1-100 scale. You have to pay £2 a month for it, which is nothing, but it doesn't work. And Arlo knows it doesn't work and does nothing about it. There are support posts from 18 months ago saying that it doesn't work. Also, you can add a time/date stamp to the video, what manufactorer of CCTV equipment designs a product that doesn't have time/date stamp. Sure it has a nice little number list in the file name which can be decoded into a date and time but those can be edited, someone argues that in court then you're in for a nice little fight. And lastly the camera quality. It isn't an expensive piece of kit for the price, considering it has built-in 4G capabilities. But holy molly is the recording quality bad, anything past 10ft? No chance of making it out. All a blur.I'm sure some people are happy with the system, and I hope it works out for them but personally I wouldn't waste your money.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Night vision rubbish, can't use some functions
So I purchased the reolink which was excellent picture quality however unreliable at uploading any detections. With my hands tied I was forced to buy this camera as an alternative. The picture quality is very good when the sun is in the right direction however at night the the night vision is simply appalling any moisture whatsoever or light rain you get no clear picture at all.although it does mention on the site that the sensitivity of the detection is around 6 m or so so this is a generous assumption. I would also add that the ability to speak through the units is utterly laughable and simply does not work and yes I have Full 4gee coverage at both ends.if there was a better solution on the market I would happily pay for it until that time I'm stuck with this piece of

V Sim was not included in the box
Couldn’t set up camera, had to order a sim separately so hopefully will be fine.

Worth persevering
Was unable to use the camera as it wouldn’t read the QR code. Called for support from Arlo and Vodafone and kept being promised a call back. After several attempts it’s finally working. Really clear and reactive.

Not as easy to set up as yuo might think
I have quite a few Arlo cameras but this is different as its a complete NVR in it's own right. Getting going is more complex than the instructions suggest. The QR code is generated by the app not as suggested by the instructions. You do need to register the V Card first and wait for it to activate - at least 15-30 minutes. Then activate the camera. You do need an Arlo/Netgear account first. That having been said its brilliant bit of kit. Note that it does not pick up movement if pointed through glass (like a window). Oh did I mention I'm a CCTV engineer?

Does not work useless support
Taking ages to set up, the model number does not snyc with the app, the qr code does not work, the instructions are in german, the helpline does not get answered outside of that is great and i would not bother wasting your time trying to make it work, you will go INSANE
