Microsoft Surface Pro 13" Keyboard with Slim Pen Black - EP2-01830

Working good

Please do not buy this item. This keyboard comes with pen. I bought this along with Microsoft surface pro 11 in May 2025 for my daughter, who studies in Trivandrum. I live in Bangalore. Within few months the keyboard stopped working. If key board does not work, the pen cannot be charged. So you cannot use both - pen and the key board. If the pen does not work, then the Microsoft surface pro tab (cost 1,08,000) becomes like any other ordinary tab. I raised the issue and it was within the warranty period. Unlike Apple or Samsung, Microsoft authorized service centers are not easily available in cities. Microsoft advised me to courier the keyboard to New Delhi via Blue dart courier. And, they replaced it quickly. My challenge was in getting the faulty item from Trivandrum and re-sending the replaced keyboard from Bangalore to Trivandrum. After the replacement, exactly after one year, the key board stopped working again. This time warranty period is crossed. with minimum access to the Microsoft service centers, I do not know how to handle this. It has become a dead purchase - Keyboard and pen costing 29500 - is a dead investment now. While buying this items, I had an option to buy Samsung tab, keyboard, and stylus pen - all together for less than Rs. 30,000. Still, I went ahead with Microsoft product assuming that high cost means high quality. Realized now, that, it is of very low quality and please do not buy this item. (another sad point is, the MS surface pro was delivered without MS office in it. I had to spend another 10k, to get MS office.)

The product is not as per description and displayed images. The delivered product is not even an Indian varient. Over-all not value for money, really bad product for this high price. Also the Amazon Investigation was not of any help, purely waste of time.
