/Anyone know how to properly calibrate this unit?

Press CTRL down and hold it down. Tap M (menu) twice and you are at calibrate screen. Press arrow button to go down to bottom half (User Calibrate). Follow the prompts. It's called SOL: Short Open Load. After short is complete it will prompt for Open. When done prompt for Load. Saving. When it's done it goes back to the initial screen you open it to at ON.

power cord missing. Does it come with a power cord?

It supposed to be charged over USB cable supplied - just plug it in your laptop/desktop USB port or USB hub, or USB phone charger.

Does it come calibrated right out of the box or do you need to calibrate it before you can start using it?

According to the manufacturer, they are factory calibrated. Mine started acting up after almost 2 years of use. Re-calibrating did not remedy the problem. Sending it back (to China) for repair/replacement.

What type adapter does this require for pl259
