Mini2 V2 Thermal Camera, iOS/Android, 256x192 IR

I have previously had a flir which suffered from phone compatibility issues. This one just plugs in and worked without any fuss (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6), the quality was decent/as expected and whilst there's some variation on temperature, it takes a decent photo and helps identify leaks. Photos carry a watermark, but you can change this in the settings to your own or remove. The colour mode can be changed to help highlight hot/cold spots.

The thermal camera has been very helpful at tracing heat related things. I've added a few pictures to illustrate how it's been able to detect radiator pipes within walls, under hardwood floors, under carpet. It's also shown colder spots on a radiator. Also it shows the cold section with the loft hatch and also an unexpected couple of cold sections in the ceiling. The device itself is tiny, but a doddle to plug in and use. The periodic self-calibration is helpful to keep temperature indicators in check. It's easy to set thresholds for upper/lower temperatures. I'm really glad I went for the higher resolution this camera delivers - it's very helpful. You don't need to have it as picture-in-picture mode, but I find it useful for keeping images afterwards. I have zero complaints about this device.

A very compact and easy to use product. As others have said, surprisingly good resolution at this price point and a big improvement over the Flir product I used to have (until its internal battery failed prematurely). As soon as I tried it out for the first time, I discovered that half of our underfloor heating was off!

This is too fiddly to use and hard to get the most out of using my iPhone, maybe it’s better with android, where the extendable lead can be utilised. I couldn’t say. Given how fiddly it can be, to get the right angles or distance from what you’re trying to see, very often in enclosed or limited spaces, it seems very overpriced. If I were looking again I’d by a stand alone one, not a phone add on. It would be vastly improved if you could plug it in and have its functionality via the phones camera, instead of the products app, as I find the app it works with is quite a pain in the *** however when the fiddly bits are out of the way it can deliver a decent representation of where your heat loss is coming from, etc. The item itself is quite small, though it has a findable sized case with good protection. However the functionality of trying to use it can become frustrating. The price indicates top quality, but the experience differs.

Purchases following a recommendation from a friend after a bad experience with a slightly cheaper dedicated handheld camera. This is awesome. Simple app, great quality and so convenient. Allowed me to swiftly trace heating pipe runs in a large old property I'd just moved in to and to diagnose a variety of old plumbing fails.

Great little thermal camera, much better the a more expensive brand we all know. I’ve used it now to make lots of improvements to the house insulation, I also use it when working on circuit boards. Just make sure you charge your phone up first as it gets quite addictive!

Ich bin zufrieden damit. Die Wärmebildkamera liefert sehr interessante Bilder und ist in der Handhabung auch sehr einfach. Würde ich wieder kaufen!

Surpris par la petite taille de cet appareil mais ça répond parfaitement à mon besoin, ça permet de bien voir les flux d’air chaud ou froid, on peut même voir les rails derrière un placo! Attention, par rapport à la vue de l’appareil photo, c’est un peu plus zoomé L’application à télécharger (testé sur iPad / IPhone / Pc ) est très bien et offre de nombreux réglages La boîte de transport est assez volumineuse mais protège parfaitement et contient câbles et adaptateurs (usb c et Apple) Je suis très satisfait de mon achat

*** edit x2!! see below. At first I thought I had a dud, usimf a samsumg s22 the picture was all fuzzy, pixelated but you could see the thermal part was working. Was about to return it, then tested with my android tablet and wow! Works fine, Uninstalled the app from the phone, re-installed and now all working great on both devices. The temp accuracy seems very good from a few tests I have done. The fuzzy crap came back, tested on 3 devices. Tried factory reset, tried uninstall/reinstall of the app. Seems to point to failing hardware which sucks, since I wanted to use it while looking for a new home. And of course it fails when I need to use it. I'll see if they will swap it but its been 3 months. Will see if any warranty. *** update 2. The company reached out and took a look at my issue and is replacing the unit!! Wow, was not expecting that! I will be happy to have a working unit again, while the broken was working it was great and very accurate with heat readings. This level of customer support deserves 5 stars. Great job! You have kept a customer and i will be sure to tell others when they ask about this device. I added a picture of when it was working of my laptop and you can see an echo dot glowing too.

Sto testando la qualità di termocamere a basso costo e così ho acquistato e provato la Mini2 V2 della HIKMICRO. Io ho un IPHONE 13 e le termocamere che si collegano ai cellulari IOS non sono molte: tuttavia questa é una di quelle. L'installazione é rapida, basta scaricare dall'Apple Store la APP ed installarla. Una volta attivata la App, e selezionato il tipo di termocamera, la si infila nella presa lightning e la termocamera si attiva all'istante. La risoluzione é molto buona: 256 x 192 IR di base che può essere migliorata attivando l'opzione SuperIR. Attraverso le funzioni contenute nell'App HIKMICRO Viewer si possono gestire i settaggi di base e anche altre funzioni aggiuntive a mio parere molto utili. Utilizzando l'App si possono effettuare delle modifiche in post-produzione cambiando alcuni settaggi. A mio parere questa piccola termocamere può essere utilizzata anche a scopi professionali per una indagini preliminare e la sua portabilità la rende davvero utile. Io utilizzo anche termocamere di fascia alta, quindi termocamere professionali ad alta risoluzione e ad alte prestazioni e quindi sono ben consapevole che indagini termografiche più accurate, specialmente in caso di contenziosi, non si possano fare con strumenti di questo tipo. E poi la competenza del tecnico termografo é fondamentale. La valutazione che do su questo strumento riguarda questa fascia di mercato e non può che essere una valutazione positiva.
