Got this for a job in the summer but I couldn’t keep it cool without it getting wet.

I bought these thermal phone sleeves for a large Android smart phone with 6.7" screen. Phone fits, but it's tight. My phone kept freezing up while skiing, so I needed somthing to keep it warm in temps below 20 degrees. I run an app that tracks my skiing runs, so this sleeve was needed. Works well so far. I've used it on two ski trips this month and the phone did not freeze up. Good product, good price. Recommended for those who use their phones in temps below freezing.

Floridian here… When I take this to the beach it works but it gets uncold very quickly. The case is still good to keep the phone in though to keep my screen from going dark.

It's a faux leather pouch lined with an embossed foil/solar blanket material with a spring steel squeeze top. It fit my Pixel 4 with room to spare on the sides. Exactly as seen in listing. It definitely adds some layer of physical protection to the phone if you are throwing it in with a bunch of other stuff.I am not sure how to evaluate the thermal protection it conveys. The spring steel top does not close up tightly so it's a bit like having a cooler or insulated cup but deciding to leave the top partially open. It helps but you know it's going to lose the battle faster without a sealed top. It would be interesting to see what happens in a car in the summer and whether the phone turns itself off due to overheating in the pouch or not. Unfortunately it's the middle of winter so I can't test this and it's really hard to gauge the impact on battery life in normal phone usage since I don't spend large amounts of time in the cold. It's definitely better than nothing though since a lot of the phone surface is covered and I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works this summer.

I can see how this will come in handy in the summer. My daughters like to go outside and use our pool, and they like to bring their phones to play music. The phones get hot by being outside, it's Texas. They always put their phones in a little cooler with a little ice pack. This thermal pouch might help in this department. The pouch is just big enough to house my iPhone 13 (regular), in an average sized phone case. I think these should be made a bit larger as phones seem to only get bigger and bigger.
