VERY MISLEADING ITEM DESCRIPTION
The item was advertised as a Windows 10 PRO laptop that windows wasn't actually activated on! I was expected to pay for an activation key on top of the purchase price! Then I found out that it was actually a refurbished model!! At no point on the listing di it state that it was REFURBISHED! Return requested for refund!!

Happy - good value for performance (so far)
I've had this a few months now and overall happy, here are my pros and cons (not many cons tbh)Pros:Looks basically new. (I wasn't sure when ordering what to expect but looks good)The main one for me is that its quick, I bought it to play games on. More old-school nostalgia games off Steam like Command and Conquer remastered or Rollercoaster Tycoon, so not sure how good it will be with bigger, modern games. But for the games I use it for its very quick. It boots up instantly, very responsive when using. Quicker than my other work laptop by a mile. So if you're just using this for work you'll be fine as chrome and other apps are responsive.Picture quality is clearIts pretty lightweight I bought the Inateck 15-15.6 Inch Shock Resistant Laptop Sleeve for it and fits nicely. It's a lot cheaper than other laptops, especially new.For my first refurb I'm pleasantly surprised.Cons:One or two slight scratches or marks, you can tell its not brand new but its very minor and doesn't impact performance.Main thing is Battery life isn't as good as a new laptop, but its not been a big issue for me personally. When playing a game charge probably only lasts couple hours but I just plug it in. If you're on the move for long periods it could be an issue. When not plugged in the screen is a little dark for me, even on full brightness, not so dark you can not use it though but I'd prefer it brighter - again minor issue and feel like I'm nit picking to fill up my review lol. When plugged in its definitely bright enough for me.So would I buy again or recommend it? Absolutely. For the performance I feel like I have got good value, it has good specs and runs a beauty and didn't cost a lot.Was I nervous about buying a refurb? Absolutely, but I'm glad I did. I'm only a few months in and people say refurbs may have a shorter lifespan so probably come back to me in a year, but so far very happy and would buy refurb again. So much cheaper!Edit: Almost 3 years later and still going strong, admittedly I don't use it often but I go through periods of heavy use for a few months then pack it away again but still no issues so far :)

Bought Nov 2023, failing March 2025!!
This was bought in November 2023 and is already causing issues, with the hard drive periodically switching off and then refusing to switch back in again. Not worth the £179 paid for less than 18mths of usage!

Brilliant for general use!
When I decided I wanted a laptop a couple of years ago, I searched for something cheap, working on the assumption “it would do” for my needs. The laptop was from a company I’d never heard of, and was so slow and unresponsive out of the box it was practically unusable. For obvious reasons it never got used and I went back to using my phone for surfing the net etc.I’d heard a lot of good things about these refurbished Lenovo Thinkpads, so I took a chance and ordered one, and how glad I am that I did!If you look very VERY hard, you’ll find little signs it’s not a new product, but you really have to look, and besides it was the performance I was more interested in testing. Well, I’m delighted to report it’s pretty damn quick. I haven’t gamed at all, but then I won’t be doing as it’s not why I bought it. For browsing the web, watching YouTube and navigating the Windows 10 menu system, however, it’s fast and responsive. The display is crisp and clear with good deep blacks, and the sound from the speakers perfectly adequate. All in all, it blows my last laptop (which incidentally cost around £120 more than this) out of the water, and if you’re looking for a good laptop with one of the (renowned) best keyboards around, you simply can’t go wrong at this price!
