This is my first time trying minoxidil and I bought this applicator along with my first purchase of the treatment. The only hold up for me starting sooner is my three cats. I’ve been worried them. I worked ahead of time to come up with a good protocol to avoid, getting them sick or hurting them. I think it might be a real pain in the ‘ace’ to accomplish that without this applicator.I ended up getting this applicator and a set of reusable dishwashing gloves. I just tried it this morning and I can have one hand gloved and the other hand using the applicator. It works pretty flawlessly, and there is VERY minimal chance for contamination of surfaces or other parts of the body. Even though, I still wash my hands throughly after application, every little bit helps!It’s expensive, but I highly recommend this applicator if you have pets and are worried about them. For what it’s worth, the plastics seem of high-quality and it is put together very well. The dosing is spot on so you don’t have to worry about that either. Overall, I would say pick it up.

This isn't what I expected to be a new. It appeared dirty and seemed to have been used by someone else.

It seems a bit expensive for a simple plastic device (why I gave it 4 stars) but in the long run I think it will pay for itself as the foam no longer melts off my finger while trying to apply.

The spring does not work properly and the button gets stuck.

I was skeptical about buying this since there aren’t many reviews yet. I’m glad I decided to purchase. It’s worth the money for sure. I didn’t see any other device like this available for FOAM Minoxidil application. There are a bunch for the other kind of solution but no others for the foam. This came quickly with good directions and in perfect condition. I’ve used it twice and really like it. I have to reload it 2-3 times because I am applying the Minoxidil on the crown of my head and along my edges. So much better than using fingers and the tip of the product bottle. I now dread applying the foam less!

This wasn’t exactly what I thought it was and is a waste of money. I thought I could dispense the entire canister into the applicator to make it easier to dose, but that was not so. Instead, you are meant to transfer the hair mousse from the original canister to the other on a dose-by-dose basis which didn’t make much sense and felt unnecessary.

One of my biggest gripes with the foam style Minoxidil/Rogaine, is that it can be difficult to apply without making a mess. I've tried many different techniques and brushes, but all pale in comparison to this application device.Usually, I'd end up with it the foam all over my hands and in my hair, but with this device I'm able to dispense small 'dots' exactly where it needs to be.The device is easy to disassemble for cleaning, and although the construction is plastic, it feels sturdy and the mechanism that moves the plunger seems rather simple and robust.

This applicator is very well made and is metal, not plastic so it feels sturdy. It’s better suited for small hairless patches than all-over use IMO. My husband complained that he still has to rub the Minoxidil in with his fingers so it just felt like an unneeded extra step, but for my son’s bald spots, it’s good because he can guide it to the back part of his head where he can’t see the bald spots, and then dispense the Minoxidil when it’s in the right place, as opposed to putting some on his finger and then having it get wiped off on his hair as he’s trying to place it on the bald spot. It’s a little pricy at $29 at the time of this review but it could be an invaluable tool.
