Great Evercade Collection

Great to have more Bitmap Brothers games on the Evercade. I immediately pre-ordered it, and I had played most of the games on the Amiga in the 90s. The collection is pretty good, and nice to have save states on these games which have always been fairly difficult.Gods I can confirm has the Amiga original intro music. Magic Pockets intro I think is slightly changed.Cadaver takes some getting used to with a gamepad, as does Z which is the playstation 1 version.The Chaos Engine 2 I have played briefly and can see it being a fun 2 player game.I recommend this cartridge to anyone wanting to explore one of the greatest Amiga developer's games. Along with Bitmap Brothers Collection 1 its great to experience these classic games again.

Purchased this cartridge for Cadaver a game I used to love. I am not disappointed. Still plays exactly the same.

Only bought it for Z,so other games are a bonus

Gods, Magic Pockets are the stand-outs. The others aren't really suited to a small handheld imo

I bought into this cart when it was revealed. But having got it. I have to report being very disappointed with the games on it! These are the games which I wanted on the first collection! But don't be fooled by how great they look. They are clunky and difficult to control! Often requiring you to COMPLETELY read the manuals, or need you to look up a walkthrough to play! I guess some fun can be gained from them, if you’re willing to push through all that! I just think that there are better carts than this. In which to have a better time with! It is a shame though. AVOID! 🤔

I like it, but nostalgia is definitely a factor and I can understand why some wouldn't enjoy this collection.All the games look good, the bitmap brothers always had strong artistic design. They mainly feature decent music, but not during gameplay, this was common on the Amiga.The games themselves...Cadaver and the payoff are isometric adventure games with complex and slightly clunky controls, but persevere and there's great but challenging games. These alone make the cart a worthwhile purchase for me, but I suspect many would fail to get into them. Also they are barely playable on the super pocket due to screen and text size.Magic pockets is a fairly good euro platformer, but it's not going to wow folks used to console platformers.Gods is an obtuse and difficult puzzle platformer. Similar to Cadaver there's a good adventure here for those that persevere.The chaos engine 2... What the hell happened? The first game was a classic and still holds up today, the sequel tries something different and just feels like a tacked on multiplayer mode for the first with sound and music done by the work experience kid.Z is a real time strategy with not quite ideal controls. It would benefit from mouse support, but if you like a strategy game there something to enjoy here.So overall it's okay, great if you have nostalgia and know you like the games, if you're curious be prepared to work at the games and you may well be rewarded.
