Best non prescription treatment I know of
I've suffered from cold sores on and around my mouth since I was a child and have tried every OTC medication/topical and home remedy imaginable. Everything short of getting a Valtrex prescription. This stuff is the holy grail of cold sore treatments for me. Sometimes I have outbreaks that sync up with my period and as long as I can apply this to the affected area as soon as I feel that dreaded tingling sensation, it likely won't even blister. Apply at any stage of a cold sore to significantly shorten healing time and sooth pain and itching. It comes in a pretty small tube, but don't let that scare you away. You don't need a whole lot and it stays for a while. I always try and have a tube on hand for when I need it. You really can't beat the price for the results since I can't find it in stores anymore.

I'll update when I've had need to use this. The bee propolis and oil extracts make this unique. The active ingredients are actually camphor and menthol. It's priced okay at $12.95.
