Tired of breaking frames? We are too! That's why HoverThings created the new "FLIP FPV" frame! We wanted an FPV frame that would handle some crazy FPV flying with low risk of physical damage. This frame was designed with TWO things in mind: #1 strength, #2 simplicity. The "FLIP FPV" is incredibly light yet STRONG. The arms do not bend and twist like cheap plastic arms, and they do not bend like expensive aluminum arms. Because they are not made of aluminum, they are ideal for FPV. They will not absorb radio signals (reducing your range) like aluminum arms. They are extremely stiff, light, but most importantly strong. Yeah, we probably won't make any money on spare parts, but we don't care because we like to make awesome frames. No, it's not unbreakable, but it's stronger than any other frame we have flown. If you do manage to break an arm, it can be removed in seconds by removing three screws (no luck nuts or anything like that). The "FLIP FPV" now includes "snap-on" landing gear. It can be installed and removed in seconds, no tools required. Standard DJI motors will work fine, but any 28mm motor in the 900-1200kv range with 8" props would be perfect. Hole pattern will accept KK, Quadrino, CC, and most other flight controllers. The frame will accept 8" and 9" is crazy, and 10" is just insane. Weight of the frame is around 350g. MADE IN THE USA. The flip frame is proudly manufactured right here in the USA, with materials supplied by US companies. Size: Width 14.5" (375mm) Length 11" (280mm) Diagonal Measurement (diagonally motor to motor): 450mm These frames come with the long standoffs for the top protector plate for use with vertical pin flight controllers: 1.5" clearance total.

A real flying tank
Having built many quads and watched them evlove over the past several years this frame is hands down the best out thereI am on my third Flip FPV build this time with a APM2.6. I had one fall from 30 feet and thought I trashed it for sure but after changing a broken prop and recovering my gopro I was back flying. One tip though, when building instead of using thread lock use clear nail polish!

My new favorite quad
Great platform to fly with. Very easy to build and the quality is fantastic.

It might be bulletproof..
First of all let me say this is a surprisingly strong frame. The instructions included were easy to understand and in English, setup didn't take too long. The multiple tiers left me plenty of room for power distribution and ESC between the panels supporting the arms, and the second tier had the option of 7/8" or 1.5" spacers for plenty of room. This is the cleanest build i have done with this frame and it looks great. Now on to strength...I had the worst crash of my flight career with this frame just yesterday. Due to my erroneous ways and props that were a little too small i confused my flight controller and my craft was sent in to a free fall from 30+ meters. It hit the deck face first at terminal velocity. The battery flew off and was smashed beyond repair but this frame and everything contained within it is completely fine somehow. Didn't even get a scratch. Seriously, this thing is military grade. All in all:Pros:Stupid strong, like seriouslyPlenty of room for a beautiful tangle free setupMounting flanges for cameras and peripherals on the front and backEasy to adjust landing gearsSeriously... Its strong, it will take a beatingCons:Its heavy, do not use props smaller than 9" or motors less than 1000kvThe solid construction caries vibrations through the frame pretty badly so balance your props/motors meticulouslyThe short arms limit prop size to 10" and do not provide as much leverage for stability as larger frames do

The Best Out There
I have owned the Flip FPV for a couple of weeks now, powered with SunnySky motors and the SuperX flight controller. Easy to build, and after a couple of relatively minor crashes, everything is still good to go.I don't use mine for FPV yet, but I love the way it looks (more rectangular, not square), and it handles (especially with the SuperX) superbly. I would definitely recommend any of the Flip line of frames from HoverThings. I don't care for the HT series, but like I said, you can buy the Flip with confidence.Things to remember:-Strong frame-Looks great-Flies fantastic-Easy to build
