Great handle
Don't expect to plug this in and presto...ready to work. It took a bit of craftsmanship. I used a bench grinder to shape it until it seated well. When I was satisfied with the fit I slammed home the wedges to make it stay. Tight fit, has been working great. I split a big pile of wood and I am quite happy with it.

This would have got 5 stars if the grain was aligned a bit better. My piece has the grain running almost at an angle to the chopping action. It does NOT come with a finish on it as the image shows (which was a good thing). I had to do a good deal of shaping to fit my ax, but in all fairness I think that should be expected.

Exactly what I expected.
Better than I expected for the price. Those who are griping about the fitment, the slot being off center or the finish obviously have not fitted many axe handles. This handle fit perfectly in my customers steel with minimal file work. Pounded on nice with little effort, produce a nice curl on both sides at the bottom of the head and spread nicely with the wedge they provided. Took no more than 15 minutes to put this handle on.Grains were nicely aligned, not at all warped or twisted and the finish is what I expected from a $25.00 home owner grade handle.I have fitted hundreds of handles and this was a pleasant surprise.

Nice Double Bit Axe Handle
Just what I needed for an old double bit axe head. They make so many different handles for the different EYE sizes on the heads of tools just confirm which one you need.

30+ tax for a bad handle
The media could not be loaded. It's been 2/3 years since I bought this handle and I just saw the handle it's cranking. And the bad thing is that I haven't used. Could be possible a replacement.

Seriously?
"Made in the usa" grain is twisted, kerf cocked and offset, knob is not in line, handle has a spiral warp ect. I dont expect a beautiful handle for the price but the basic things that can be done with a quick eyeing would have prevented all of this. This poor quality seems to be more and more common with "mad in the usa" tool handles.

Nice handle for the price
It took some work getting it in place, sanded, stained and about 15 coats of polyurethane but I think it turned out just fine.
