You want to hold the bottle on a firm flat surface. While holding the bottle firmly, press down on the lid and keep pressing while you turn the lid. It is a very secure bottle. You cannot be in a rush trying to open it. As it gets emptier, you may want to squeeze the edges of the bottle while you press down the cap, to make sure the bottle pressure is hard enough to press hard. There is no way a child or infirm adult could accidentally open it. And it will not break open if dropped.

Q: Could I make spray bottles out of it? If so, how much concentrate makes a bottle?

Yes you can. I use 1 part solution 2 parts water. I used a 16-32 Oz spray bottler. The more water used the more diluted it will be. I hope this helps you.
