This is a solid piece of garden furniture accessory, without the hassle of filling anything with water or sand. As a result it is slimmer than the plastic parasol bases that are light to manoeuvre but have too much bulk to be unobtrusive. The pattern is nicely done. Looks more expensive than it was and seems to be weatherproof.

Have one for an umbrella and am using one for a washing line whilst we re-do our garden. Good product, but the clamp could be a little better.

Good heavy square base.Just watch out as in mine the bolt for fixing the upright and the two washers were loose in the box and the washers had disappeared under the flaps of the box.

This is a good quality item and easy to assemble, just rest it in it's edge and insert the fixed bolt into the base. Fit the nut and tighten just firmly. Don't overtighten it !One snag i noticed is that if water runs down into the tube ( which it will) it cannot drain out, so the base of the tube and the mounting plate will rust . I drilled a small hole in the base to allow for drainage. An annual check for rusting would be a good idea.

Looks fantastic, but te wind blew our parasol over within a week or so (to be fair we have a big parasol) and it broke. They've sent us a new one, that hasn't broken, but in wind doesn't keep the parasol up. If you have a small one I think you would be fine, but don't buy if you have a large one
