I got this for my son because he wants to be a little lazy at bricking his teeth....and that’s a big no go in my house! So, I recalled having these as a child after a dentist visit... you don’t see them around as often as we did as kids. The tablets are pretty strong color wise when using..haha! We tried 1 tablet the first time and his mouth looked like Barney the purple dinosaur..haha! So I use a half tablet if I were you, as we have after the first use. These have helped my son greatly at taking the proper time and care at brushing his teeth, because he does not want to brush his teeth 4 times to recommend all the purple dye from mouth and teeth. I will absolutely buy the again if he gets a cavity on his dental check up or if I see that he may be slacking at brushing his teeth. Final Thought: Get if your child does not think brushing proper matters!

Overall, I had a good experience with these tablets. I felt it was a bit pricey, so I started to divide 1 tablet into 2 or 4 small pieces, which was still enough to color and identify the problem. It colors quickly, be careful with white vanity surfaces in the bathroom. Otherwise, you might not be able to clean the stain after.

These seem to work well. My only complaint is the tablets have way too much dye. I recommend cutting them in half or maybe even 3rds or 4ths. Once you get some saliva flowing, simply swish around a little goes a long way. Should be aware, these will dye your tongue. I used it at night, and after brushing + sleeping + eating + morning brushing it was completely gone.

I am using these tablets to make sure I can keep a clean mouth. It is frightening how much we leave behind. With disclosing tablets, your mouth shows plaque as purple or pink. You can get rid of those colors and keep a cleaner mouth!

Used these when I was a kid and remember them having been a great way to teach me how to brush my teeth thoroughly. So, I thought it would be good idea to use with my 11yo son. Buyer beware! The taste is surprising, and not good. The dye is potent, and can be scary...my poor son freaked out when he saw his entire mouth change colors. (He's a bit sensitive, so I don't blame this on the product, but just recommend your help prepare your child better than I did - oops.) Multiple brushings and a good overnight sleep helped the dye disappear. Also - I have a white sink - the dye left a residue I cannot remove. I recommend spitting product out into the tub instead of sink.

It works. But I really didn't like it. I wanted to have the kids try something to show them how well they need to brush. But it's a bit too strong. When I tried it the purple showed up strong on an amalgam filling on one of my front teeth and I was in a panic that it wouldn't come out. It finally did come out. But it took a lot of brushing. If this is what you like, I would recommend not using a whole one at one time. It takes just a small piece to get your teeth purple.

There have been complaints about a lack of instructions - the package I received did have instructions, you just have to look closely. The instructions are printed in white directly on the clear packing, but they're there. And the tablets did exactly what I hoped... showed my sons that after they brushed there was still plenty of plaque left on their teeth. They're now brushing more carefully. As for staining, I have a cream colored sink and there was no staining. I did make sure to rinse the sink immediately when the boys spit, and checked it after they were done to make sure there were no drops of bluish-purple left when we got done, but it was no problem. As long as you're not spitting all over the room you should be fine.

Ordered these for my child so she could practice good dental hygiene. She thought they were great! They definitely fill your mouth with color. She was drooling purple for about 10 minutes. Brushes off easily and doesn't stain teeth. BUT it may stain your sink, so be sure to clean it immediately, unless you want faint purple stains on your sink. I don't remember them being so vibrant or causing so much salivating when I used them as a child, but that was a while ago. They are definitely helping her get all of her teeth and gums, that's for sure.
