It’s worth it- but here is why: 6 month review!
I bought this ring for Christmas ! And I wanted to wait six months to write a review just to make sure that I didn’t over hype it just from the initial shock of it being great.Off the bat it’s so much more accurate than any other tracker that I have. I’ve worn multiple trackers at once to see which ones accurate in the ordering beats at every single time. I love that it’s waterproof and really feels more waterproof than a soggy band on a watch. The main thing I really enjoy this for is natural family planning. Takes your temperature and it allows you to confirm ovulation with a lot more accuracy than just the strips. So if you’re looking to conceive or use natural family planning to not get pregnant, this is game changer! Huge win if you have a health savings account, it’s fully covered and you can use that money to buy it!!! Small things to note: These are my least favorite parts of the ring/ wish I knew , though it still wouldn’t sway me from not loving it.- I got it in the Gold because I read reviews that it would be not as banged up or scratched, and I feel like after six months I can say it’s pretty dull and pretty scratched up.- The website also claims that his has up to seven days of battery charging power and I don’t believe that to be true. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a charge longer than 4 1/2 days( still better than daily).- People don’t tell you that the ring does not work without the subscription so it is a bit of an investment all the way around, but I still think it’s worth it.- the best analytics come after 45 days of keeping the ring which is slightly after the window of being able to return it. That part is a catch 20/20. The time it takes give you the full information versus the window. You have to return it if you don’t like it don’t match up.- DO NOT BUY without the sizing kit. It is not even close to normal ring sizes. FYI- I purchased the gold, 4th generation. Hope that helps.

I love it!
I don't like wearing wrist watches, so having a smart ring is PERFECT for me! I love how durable it is, it's easy to clean, and the app that comes with it is GREAT! The tracking on this thing is flawless and it uses light sensors to track my vitals, so it doesn't even feel like a smart device, just a regular ring! It also charges very quickly, so if I'm using the bathroom or taking a shower at home, I just pop it on the charger for 10-15 minutes and it's good for a few days! I only do it daily just to establish a good routine, and I have forgotten before and let the battery get low, but still haven't had the power die on me yet!I can see it being an issue for lifting weights since it's coated in stainless still and a little bulky, but otherwise very comfortable for other forms of exercise! I can also see it being a problem because of the red and green light sensors at night, it might be disruptive to light sleepers in a dark room, but I just keep my hands under my blankets or pillows, and I sleep just fine! It doesn't light up all the time, just periodically throughout the night. If the tiny lights at night might bother you, you can probably put a thick sock or a glove over your hand at night to block the light. I'm personally not inconvenienced by it at night, and I like that I can't feel anything when it checks my vitals (heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, just to name a few).I wound up subscribing to the app anually because I really liked how easy it was to set up and how thorough its analysis was for my overall health.

Wish I bought this sooner
I’ve had my Oura ring for about 2 weeks now, and so far I love it. I bought a “random” cheaper ring first, because the price tag and subscription for Oura turned me off, but the other one didn’t work. I returned it and figured I’d try this.First off, get the sizing kit. If you try to guess based off of other rings, you’ll probably be disappointed. I sized it off of my pointer finger, with the intent to move it to smaller fingers as I start losing weight. (I have no interest in having to buy multiple rings if I can avoid it.) It can be worn on either hand, so I have lots of options to swap too as I hit my goals. The ring isn’t tiny, but it’s not obstructive. I’ve gotten used to it and it doesn’t bother me at all. I can shower with it on, wash my hands, go swimming…all the things. As for the tech and the app, super user friendly and easy to use. Everything is pretty intuitive and the data that doesn’t automatically make sense comes with explanations. You can see how everything ties together. Its predictive nature is also 2-for-2 for me. It’s reads your data in its entirety and tells you when things are a little off. I got a warning one morning when I woke up, and spiked a fever that evening. It’s also accurately predicted the timing of other things that women may find useful. One of the main reasons for me getting the Oura was to track sleep. In my opinion, it’s been pretty spot on. If I feel like I’ve laid in bed all night staring at the ceiling, my data matches that. If I feel like I passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow, the data matches it. When I wake up feeling super refreshed, and check the app, it says I slept well. When I wake up feeling like crap, surprise! The app says I slept horribly. From there, it sets your activity target for the day - based on how rested your body is.All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. Only regret is that I spent so long deciding if I really wanted it or not. But, I guess the good thing is that it seems like this model (Oura 4) has fixed a lot of problems some of the older models had. Definitely recommend!
