SAMSUNG BAR Plus 256GB - 400MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive Champagne Silver (MUF-256BE3/AM)

This Samsung BAR Plus 256GB flash drive is a great product. I like to carry it on my key ring so I always have my important files with me, and it has held up well to the abuse of everyday carry. The storage capacity is plenty for my work needs, including multiple large files, and it loads quickly when I plug it in. It feels sturdy and reliable, which is exactly what I want in a flash drive that travels around with me all the time. Overall, I’m very happy with it. It is fast, durable, convenient, and I would definitely repurchase.

Not the cheapest, by any means, but always reliable and fast. I've tried various bargain brands over the years and wind up returning them, either because they're ridiculously slow or they crash the computer. BTW: I use thumb drives for work stuff: nothing fancy: just really just large folders for PDF files, WORD files, and, on occasion, pictures. The product easily handles folders of 20 GB, e.g., without balking.

I'm an IT consultant and keep one of these on my keychain at all times. Got my typical utilities and installers on there, plus has room to make smaller backups of end user data. Metal casing is a must - plastic casings and moving parts (slider-style drives) just break from the abuse of carrying in your pocket. Sandisk had a cruzer titanium long ago, but that disappeared and luckily Samsung came out with this. My first one (128GB BAR) just started to show signs of failing after about 3 years of use. The casing was getting a little bent in spots and it occasionally was difficult to insert in some laptops. The new ones I just got (256GB BAR Plus) are faster and I think the metal casing is just slightly thinner, as they have not been difficult to insert. I have not had any heat issues so far, and I did copy a lot of data to them when I was getting all my stuff transferred from my old one. Maybe a tiny bit warm at the most. Not sure what people did to get them to overheat, but shouldn't have that problem, at least on a newer computer. These are not designed to work from, nor are they designed for frequent writes - if you need a drive that stays plugged up all day and you work from it, that is a different product that costs more. Also, it might tend to get warm if you're using most of the free space. I reformatted mine down to 200GB, so they have some free space for wear leveling.

Works great, very fast and transferring data

I've purchased the Samsung Bar Plus 3.1 USB Flash Drive 13 times between October 2018 and October 2024, including various capacities such as 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The quality, reliability, and blazing fast performance of these flash drives have been consistently impressive. After four years of heavy use in countless machines, one of the 256GB flash drives stopped working on September 25, 2025. Fortunately, I had just made a backup copy, so I wasn't too worried. Samsung Support was amazing to work with; the representative provided a link to complete the RMA form and assured me that a UPS return label would arrive by email within 48 hours. I highly recommend these flash drives for their quality, durability, outstanding performance and excellent customer service. The attached screenshots from CrystalDiskMark 9.01 are test results of Default, Peak Performance, Real World Performance and Demo test profiles. I’ve also attached a picture of the Samsung flash drive along with the UGREEN USB to USB C Adapter and JSAUX USB C to USB Adapter. Both of these adapters are great!

Large capacity, unique styling. Just make sure you keep it from getting caught on something and damaging the USB port. Can get hot during large transfers of data. Great value for the money

This is the best of the best for 256GB - all other 256GB or larger usb flash drives that I have used have failed (except for SanDisk Ultra Fit, they are just slower than the sbar plus - I have several of these and they have not failed). I have no trouble running a full install of Fedora from this drive on multiple machines, and it is quite fast too! No complaints except maybe the price...

Does what it should and I'm happy.

You know how some USB drives are slow enough to make you question life choices? This isn't one of those. It’s fast. Like, embarrassingly fast. I plugged it in, and it was like "Oh, you need your files transferred? Done. No biggie." The thing is built like a tank. Seriously, I could probably use it to hammer nails into wood. But I won’t, because, you know, it’s a flash drive, not a DIY tool.

تم اختبارها كقراءة وكتابة وأثبتت كفاءتها بجدارة ، أما القراءة فعلا كما هو بالعنوان فقد وصلت معي إلى 421.99 ميغابايت بالثانية وأما الكتابة فوصلت إلى سرعة 117.68 ميغابايت بالثانية ، بالطبع العنوان لم يعني الكتابة وإنما سرعة القراءة لجعل المنتج أكثر جاذبية للمستخدمين وبشكل عام الذاكرة ذات أداء رائع وتستحق الشراء بجدارة.
