Q: I want to print a picture. Is this washable?

According to the instruction I had (2015), you can wash with softner, cold water gentle, no soap.

Q: How can it only have three sheets????

the sheets are 8 1/2 X 11 so you can make 3- 8 X 10's or cut to any size you want & still have a boarder to sew the seam with. yes it's expensive

Q: How do you assure that the color remains colorfast when washed?

Because you soak it in water to set it.

Q: does it fray after cutting? and do you need any special ink or printer?

These fabric sheets work with any inkjet printer or inkjet copier. No special ink is needed. These are NO FRAY fabric sheets.
