Conduit Carrier Kit for 4-Inch Diameter PVC Pipe - Durable and Versatile With Mounting Hardware, Spring-Loaded Latch, Secure and Stable Transport Solution (Pipe Not Included)

I ordered this pvc conduit carrier to use as a tool box of sorts on my tractor. The components are surprisingly heavy, but really well made. The caps are thick and feel almost like they are made of steel, but I’m pretty sure it is a heavy plastic or pvc. The end that opens has a simple mechanical clasp that firmly closes the lid. It is definitely built to last for a long time and hold up to abuse. I thought the u-bolts for mounting would have a little more play than they do, but I can make them work. I plan to stand the 4” pvc in an upright position to store chains and straps. As indicated in the description, this does not include the pvc pipe, but it also does not include any fasteners to attach the top and bottom cap to the pvc. The instructions suggest using rivets or screws to attach to the pvc, but I think screws would create a hazard since they protrude into the mouth of the open tube. Unfortunately I don’t have a rivet gun either. I’ll probably get some pop rivets at harbor freight just to avoid cutting my arm every time I reach in. This is a bit pricey compared to a diy assembly, but it really is well built.

This kit allows me to carry long thin trim pieces without damaging them. The caps seal up the pvc and the lockable end is great to prevent theft. The u bolts are long enough to fasten to my roof rails.
