We’ve tried several smart lock systems before, and most required replacing the entire lock mechanism—which often led to mismatched finishes and a less cohesive look on the door. These SimpliSafe electronic key locks solve that problem perfectly. They work with your existing deadbolt hardware, so everything matches beautifully and keeps the original aesthetic of your doors. Installation was straightforward, and the system is very easy to use. Integration with the SimpliSafe ecosystem is excellent. We can lock and unlock the doors remotely through the app, and the auto-lock feature (after a set period of time) gives great peace of mind. What really stands out is the overall SimpliSafe experience. Their customer service has been fantastic, and we’re using their 24/7 monitoring—agents have been professional, responsive, and attentive whenever needed. Pros: Works with existing deadbolts (no mismatched hardware), easy to install and use, seamless app integration, remote lock/unlock, auto-lock feature, excellent customer service, reliable 24/7 monitoring Cons: None so far Tips: Make sure your door and deadbolt are properly aligned before installation. If the alignment is off, the lock can jam when trying to engage. Overall: Great value and a wonderful device. If you want a clean, integrated smart lock solution without replacing your existing hardware, this is an excellent choice.

Very easy to install and use. The only issue we have is that the lock doesn't line up perfectly every time when locking the door. So I have to pull the handle while locking from the outside. Not a big deal. At least not enough to make me spend time figuring out a fix. Lol

**FYI - You do NOT have to pay for monthly monitoring for this to work in the app!** I live in a "smart" apartment that I created and set up myself. The only thing that is missing is to have a smart lock for my front door. I've tried a few other brands, but the apps were gimicky and the locks just weren't well made. I had finally given up after returning the second "other brand" lock... Until I found that Simplisafe just released a second version of their smart lock. I immediately bought it. I set it up immediately when it arrived. The packaging was as surprisingly impressive as the device itself - hats off to you Simplisafe. Within minutes I had the old lock off, the new lock on and even had it paired to my smart alarm. The one thing that I will absolutely APPLAUD Simplisafe for doing is including an outdoor keypad at this price. This is why I say it's a game changer. When I come home, all I have to do is put in any of the alarm codes into the keypad on the outside of my door and not only does it unlock the door but it ALSO disarms my keypad at the same time. This is perfect for letting anyone have a "key" to your home when they need it. It gives me a huge peace of mind knowing if something happens to me someone can get into my apartment with no issues to rescue/care for my furbaby. When it's time to leave, all I have to do is set my alarm to "away" and walk out. As soon as the countdown is finished it will automatically lock my door and send a notification to my phone that the door was successfully locked. No more fumbling with keys or wondering if you forgot to lock it. You can even dig deeper into the settings and choose how the lock behaves during arming/disarming. I have mine set to lock automatically when I put the system into "Stay" and anytime the alarm is turned off, whether it's set to Stay or Away the door automatically unlocks - perfect for anytime I need to take the dog out. I just disarm and open the door, no need to fumble with the lock anymore. All in all, this is an outstanding product by Simplisafe and I am so glad I decided to purchase this. If you own a Simplisafe system and this lock is compatible with your setup, please do yourself a favor and purchase this. You won't regret it!

DO NOT BUY THIS LOCK. We've never had so many issues with a product before. Worked for about two months before randomly not unlocking all the way about 10% of the time. This requires manual unlocking with a key. Within the last month its changed to about 90% of the time. Leading at one point to us getting locked out of the house on a freezing morning. I've spent hours on the phone with SimpliSafe's support and they're the definition of unhelpful. A horrifically slow chat support that just copies the already available FAQ articles and a phone call that accomplished nothing. Both the iPhone and Android apps give errors or fail at basic detection when trying to re-calibrate the locks. Simplisafe shrugged and said it wasn't their problem. Amazon has also said its no their problem after 30 days. So basically I'm left with a $120 paperweight that probably will even do a terrible job at that. Just to repeat. DO NOT BUY THIS LOCK. It feels cheap, the keypad wobbles and feels like a kids toy. The lock can't consistently do its job properly. Customer support doesn't help in anyway. Stay far away.

Bought this to replace a unit that failed after about 3 years. First couple uses it would get stuck closed (safety hazard) but loosened so that I could unlock it even when armed

It was easy to set up, and works great. It's a little loud when it does the locking & unlocking through the pad or app, but we'd rather have that than someone coming in without us knowing.

Great product and easy to setup. We love the ease of use and how easy it is to connect to your SimpliSafe app. Also love the ability to have it lock with your system being armed, either at night or when you are away.

stopped working after 1 year. simply safe cannot help and we tried everything. do not recommend.
