Quality craftsmanship with an outstanding warranty
This is my 3rd Acebeam TAC 2AA flashlight. These are wonderful for everyday lighting tasks. I work in the automotive industry so build quality and functionality are requirements for my equipment. These are exceptional lights, so much so that I purchased one for each of my employees for everyday use. They are made of high quality hard anodized aluminum. I have dropped my lights many times during normal use from varying heights and it has yet to fail from those drops. I did have one light which quit working one day out of nowhere. I contacted Acebeam's customer support via email. They responded quickly and sent a new light out within 3 days. Customer support for after sales is incredible! For them to be a large company they have some of the best support I have used of many products from other manufacturers. For $30 USD you get a quality light with an above average warranty they the company genuinely stands behind. You don't see that often these days. I can't say enough good about the customer support for after sales. The light beam itself is very bright for its size with a centered hot spot and flood around the edges. There are 3 power modes plus a turbo and a strobe. The only draw back to the light is the battery's charge function. I don't care for the USB charge port directly on the battery itself. Over time the port will get weak and eventually not charge properly or fail to charge all together. That being said, the battery is also warrantied for the first year from purchase. Genuine replacement batteries are available for as little as $8 EA from various battery websites. So longevity for parts is a plus as well. You can also ditch the proprietary included battery and use standard or rechargeable AA batteries. Just be aware you will loose some lumens if you do , due to the higher MaH rating on the supplied battery . Once again, genuine replacements are cheap and plentiful. Be aware that these flashlights are high output for their size. Therefore, the head of the flashlight does get quite warm to the touch if used extensively. I think for just about any task this light is just powerful and functional enough for most everyday usages. It is definitely the best bang for the buck considering the excellent warranty included. This is an absolute no brainier if you need compact yet powerful lighting in your hand.

This is a flashlight! ... Yes, Also a TAC Light!
It works far more effectively and efficiently than most. FACTs: Its monetary value, brightness, charging capability, battery life, compact size, versatility and its rugged durablity ... collectively, makes this ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC a must have. WHY? It works extremely well. Here are a few reasons why I love this ACEBEAM 1400 High Lumens Flashlight. 1. Once you've selected your desired light setting. The flashlight stays / remains on that setting each time you power it ON and OFF ... even while it's in Standby Mode. 2. The adjustment capabilities of this TAC light seemlessly converts from a top quality flashlight into a Super Torch light when you rapidly double click the light sequence button. This function is acheived when the flashlight is in Standby. Tripple clicks engages the Torch light to flash. QUESTION: Did someone say ... Bright, or ... BRIGHTER? ALSO NOTE: When the Torch light is on ... The tip of the TAC light gets HOT! real fast! However, It equally cools rapidly when you disengage the function. 3. With the Amber and the Clear/off White silicone caps that comes in the package ... ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC transforms into an emergency becon for the unexpected stranded in the dark, on a lonesome roadway, waiting for a tow truck, given the dreaded car failure ... or while you're out hiking the trails. You go off track and somehow, you end up getting lost in the woods. Knowing this, you need to track back, but its late night and it's dark. Here's another true to life experience ... Your vessel has lost power on the open seas, thus leaving you isolated in the pitch black, far away from other mariners. However, your rescuers are diligently searching for you, hoping to see a glimmer of light. In these extremes, having an ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC flashlight definitely helps in displaying your location ... as well as, illuminating your path home. ADDED FACTs: ACEBEAM TAC 2AA EDC is lite in weight, easy to use ... and constructed to endure the unintended knock arounds and the abusive drops ... due to, its rugged Aluminum frame. THE LOOK, THE FUNCTION and THE FEEL: The design is streamlined impressive, having the Power button center placed at the bottom of the cylindrical frame. This design functionality also, allows you to securely stand the flashlight upright, hands free, as you power through various tasks when using the Amber or the off White silicone caps to spread the illumination throughout your desired area. Likewise, the placement of the Light Sequence Mode / Standby button compliments the impressive ergonomics of the grippy frame. In additon to, the adjustable pocket clip which also clips to your baseball cap, when it's needed, makes EDCing this TAC light, paper weight ... Furthermore, this Matt blue TAC light is my standout favorite. Which concludes for me ... My DISLIKEs: Unfortunately ... "I have NONE."

Outperforms $200 flashlights all day
Actually a great flashlight and certainly worth the price. It outperforms my $200 flashlight and this one is smaller. Battery life lasts long, tons of different light modes. Low, normal, high, super high and strobe. It’s a little tricky to figure out the different modes. Like a quick double click gives you the brightness setting. When on the brightest setting, the flashlight does get rather hot near the head where the lense is. Other than those two small complaints, I would say for a $30 flashlight, you’re certainly getting bang for you buck here all day. I liked it so much I just ordered another one.

Remove the small piece of insulating film inside or it won’t work.
Yea, I love this flashlight but it was milliseconds from going back in the box for return to Amazon. Why? Because I put two new AA batteries in it, pressed the tail switch and nothing happened. Assuming one of the batteries must be bad I replaced both of them and the same thing happened. I couldn’t believe it and was just about to put it back in the box for return when I decided to take a closer look. When I removed the front end from the battery compartment handle I saw there was a small piece of plastic film inside preventing current from getting to the diode. I removed it and the light worked fine. And yes, I later found that this is addressed in the instruction sheet. But, that sheet has instructions in a dozen different languages and is in script so small I needed a magnifying glass to read it. And who ever needed instructions on how to put batteries in a flashlight anyway?

Small, But Mighty! Worth the price is subjective...
I bought this flashlight in October 2025 and so far it has been very useful at work. I did encounter the problem more than once where the flashlight wouldn't turn on. But then I put it on the charger and it worked again. It does get hot if you have the brightest setting, but I don't use it on that particular setting for a long time. Overall, I really like how compact it is and the blue is beautiful! I dedicated a star for the mishap of it not working more than once and for the battery taking awhile to fully charge. Unsure if the $25 price tag is worth it for this EDC flashlight. But for my needs, it gets the job done and I've gotten compliments on it! UPDATE 2026: I love this flashlight and it's better than the $55 one I got off Amazon that had better reviews BUT it's unreliable because I've dropped it and use it everyday. The battery needs to be charged frequently as it stops working. But when I charge it, it says it has a full charge. Very baffling. I still love it though despite this!

I’m impressed for $30
First few day review. I got the blue version with the SFT-25R LED, and honestly, it’s the one to go for if you want a tactical or self-defense use for around $30. it has 2 modes the default is Tactical mode. it’s always in turbo each time you turn it on. In daily mode I believe it will always stay in the last mode you leave it on except moonlight It puts out a max of 1,400 lumens on turbo for 1 minute before dropping to 500 lumens, with an impressive 23,104 candela (when it’s on the 1,400-lumen turbo mode). That said, I wish the user interface (UI) was a bit different, especially with how standby mode works. In daily mode, I’d much rather have a simple order of moonlight, low, medium, high, turbo. without needing standby mode at all. Right now, to get into moonlight mode, you have to: 1. Turn on the light with the tail cap. 2. Press the side button once (this turns off the LED and makes the side button the on/off button, with its green LED constantly lit). 3. Then, long-press the side button to get into moonlight. Overall it’s a solid light. Good materials, good weight, nice touch of knurling, super bright, rechargeable. It’s an easy light to use other than getting too moonlight. Which can be a bit tedious when you just want to turn it on and have the lowest light possible from the get go. Know what you want out of a light. I know we want to just think it’s simple all flashlights are the same, but they aren’t. What purpose do you have for it? Do you need distance to see out a couple hundred yards? Do you need to light up an entire room? Higher lumens generally means it’s going to be a floodlight. Higher candela means it’s going to have a hotspot and get more distance and a concentrated beam. I’d definitely buy myself another one and plan on getting a couple as gifts.

Almost the perfect flashlight.....
Honestly, I love this flashlight. I just keep it in tac mode all the time and it really illuminates everything that I point at. At work, we often use a flashlight to troubleshoot machines to make sure we are able to see through the guards and make adjustments - this is the brightest light at the jobsite by far. I have had other flashlights in the 400 to 500 lumens range and while they are good enough for me, they weren't the brightest around. I had a few co workers with 1000 lumen lights that would come up and further illuminate areas that I was already working on with my flashlight, and make jokes. I told myself that I was going to show them, so I found this 1400 lumens light. Now I have the brightest flashlight in the shop. My only complaint is that I have to remove the battery to charge it since the usb charge port is on the battery itself. There is no way to charge the battery without removing it, and that inconvenience alone takes off 2 stars. This does not have a magnetic base. The flashlight is easy to use and is great for every day carry! When paying $50 for a flashlight, you would expect to have an external charge port that even $12 generic lights have. I love that it doesn't need a zoom feature, I just wish it had a usb plug. If they would update this in the future but with an external charger and keep the same beam intensity , I would buy 2!

Does not last long
On high you have maybe 20 minutes of battery life. It's a good light but would be better if added another battery!

Ein Wolf im Schafspelz – 1400 Lumen im Stift-Format! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
