Should have bought these sooner
I've had an orbital sander for about 2 years now, and I've just been buying new pads from Harbor Freight the whole time. I knew about these packs of pads on Amazon for quite a while but I was hesitant to actually try them because of how dramatically cheaper they are. Well I finally tried them out, and it's absurd how good these are for the price. I slapped a 40 grit pad on my sander and went at it for about an hour, and the pad was still practically in "new" condition when I was done. I've tried one of every grit besides 800, and all of them are holding up and staying attached to my sander really well. There's really not much else to say about them... they're sanding pads. But, they are a phenomenal deal, work very well, seem to be very durable, and stay attached to the sander. I'll be buying more of these in a few years once I've finally run out of the 70 pads in this pack :)

Perfect Sanding Discs for Versatile DIY Projects
Using the Miady 5-Inch 8-Hole Hook and Loop Sanding Discs has made my DIY projects much more efficient. The variety of grits included in this pack is fantastic, catering to different stages of sanding from rough to fine. What I appreciate most is how well the discs adhere to my sander. They stay in place during use, which means I don't have to stop frequently to reattach them. The hook and loop system is secure yet makes changing grits quick and easy, allowing me to maintain a smooth workflow. The performance of these sanding discs is impressive. The coarser grits do a great job on tougher surfaces like aluminum, while the finer grits provide a smooth finish that is perfect for preparing surfaces for painting or staining. One aspect I was slightly concerned about was durability, but these discs hold up really well. Even after substantial use, they maintain their abrasive qualities without clogging up or wearing down too quickly. If there’s one minor thing, it's that the very fine grits (600 and 800) can wear out faster on rougher materials. However, this is expected and having multiple discs in the pack ensures I always have spares on hand. These Miady sanding discs have truly enhanced my sanding projects. From prepping aluminum surfaces to finishing wooden pieces, they deliver consistent and reliable results every time.

Reasonable Value
I've only used the 120 and 220 grit pads but so far, they're marginally OK, especially considering the cost. I had a couple of pads that wouldn't adhere at all to my sander and a couple that come loose while sanding but after resticking, were useable. I'm using a Porter Cable random orbit with a new OEM pad so there's not an issue with the sander pad. My other brand sandpaper had no issues. For those that didn't stick, I used them for hand sanding.I used these side by side with Porter Cable (PC) brand pads for comparison. The PC pads had no adherence issue and were noticeably harder to remove that these even after long usage. The PC pads lasted slightly longer but not by much. No discernable difference in the sanding quality. The ventilation holes also didn't line up exactly with the PC pad. I'm not sure if that's due to the new sander pad or the sandpaper but thought I'd note it. There's enough overlap you get some dust collection but not as much as the PC brand paper. Either way, the sanding capability was not affected.Since there's a lot of sandpaper for the cost, the adherence issue is not a big deal for my use around the house. In a commercial application, that may be a bigger concern. If you just need one or two of the included grits, it's probably more cost effective to purchase exactly what you need. I do a lot of woodworking and will use them all. Depending on how the adherence issues continue will determine if I buy these again.

Great pack of sanding discs
Very nice sanding disc pack and quantities anx great fit on my sander. The disc's have been performing as I expect them to. I've used these heavily through most of the grades in the pack. I see a little wear and tear along the outside edges when I get done with heavy use, but I expect that.

Super value! Don't waste your money at the big box stores!
Like the subject says, why pay more money for a name brand from a name brand big box store? Those tiny packets usually come with a whopping 5 or 10 discs for what, almost the same price as this?! And that's usually a box of all one grit choice! This box came with 70 discs ranging from a wood-eating 40 grit to a glass-making 800 grit discs. I've been chewing threw wood with the 40grit and then jumping to the 600 to smooth that sucker to a baby's bottom. The only tiny minor "complaint" I would have is that these don't stick like glue to the sander's base. I am NOT saying that the discs slip or come off or anything like that; not at all. However, after 10-15+ minutes of sanding you'll notice that the disc has slightly come off center and shifted every so slightly. This is so not even an issue, I hesitated to even mention it and is surely not a reason to not buy this set. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this set ESPECIALLY for the price!

Easy to take off, remove, without peeling up or tearing. Good value.
Works well enough and price was okay. The holes don't line up perfectly, but enough works to keep the sawdust going into the bag collection. Easy to take on and off. Seems about average for longevity for each one and don't peel up around the edges or tear like some other brands. They sand decently. They are about average, hence the 3 stars. I would buy them again.
