Great little book
I have this book in my bag all the time, wherever I go it comes , I pick it up as when I get a moment to read it.Itโs a book within a book, thereโs a special way to read it and itโs easy just read from start to finish but not to begin to practice any exercises. Then to reread chapters 3 to 14 to get a clearer overall picture of the road you are about to travel. The read chapter 3 and practice, I am half way through book and there are already some great exercises in it, it is simple and easy read, not blinding you long meditation itโs guides you into meditation and how to use visualisation.Buy it you will not regret it.

A good basic introduction.
A good basic introduction and an interesting bio of Silva. I read this because I was unable to do the online meditation course due to the inescapable binaural beats which my ears and particular brain wiring don't like. I have a condition where I can't filter out background sounds very well, so the noises become highly irritating and I can't focus, which is the opposite of what is needed. Anyway, I got the basic idea from the book about certain techniques used, so it was good from that angle, though as a meditation discipline it seems quite long and drawn out way to achieve things. Counting down from 100 is really unnecessary, though if you have trouble sleeping this will help!

Best book to read if you want to meditate like a pro
Many times in life we think we are in control, but sometimes we realise that we are not. Thanks to this book that my therapist recommended, I will be able to meditate properly with a super effective method. The delivery service looks a bit scary when it says it will arrive in 10 or more days, but to my surprise, it arrived much sooner. In super good condition, super well protected and you can tell it's rainy weather proof. I highly recommend it. I will definitely order books from them in the future. Because the care of the books is too important.

Itโs mostly a review of case studies
Whilst the book โteaches youโ how to do the meditations and โgo to your levelโ, about 40% of it is mostly case studies on different fields. Studies a psychiatrist did, what some business owners have experienced, what children in schools have experienced. Also this is a book written in the 1970s, so like 50 years ago. Some of the stuff you read makes you laugh. Would I recommend it? For the meditations, yes. I skipped most of the final chapters as I wasnโt interested in reading case studies. Maybe you will.

Original Copy
The pages and the type of printing used is quite old. The method used is from 90s, i guess they haven't released and updated version. For me, it is acceptable I dont mind as long as i can read it and the overall quality is good.

Productive support for improving mind "control" - here's why you don't need the workbook
Reading other reviews before buying this book made me feel like this book might be difficult to understand and so I also bought a workbook with it.The book is actually easy to read and the first part is all about getting your brain to more of an alpha state with really easy to use exercises, such as counting back from 100 very slowly while gazing your eyes 20 degrees up from rest (laying flat on your back)... this is done for ten days, then the counting is reduced as your brain becomes more comfortable in the Alpha state - for some this comes faster than others. The author recommends reading the entire book first - this can be done in a weekend - then going back to the beginning to do the exercises. I'm simply starting the countdown now as the first couple of times I went back to sleep in the morning trying to count down backwards very slowly from 100.... the book even mentions this might happen and to continue to practice. I'm also continuing to read the book. The next chapters take you a bit further into dynamic meditation. My take on this is that all the other books, like The Secret, and the teachings of speakers, such as "not your guru" Tony Robbins, must have started with some of the teachings from this book. I say this, because the book by Jose Silva goes into visualizing what you want ( and even visualizing where you last had an object in order to find where you lost it). It's a lot like intentional manifestation with better exercises and examples that most of us can relate to (not over the top).I'm continuing to read the book and have also glanced at the workbook (waiting to review it until it's completely finished - but basically it is just the crib notes for the book - and not really needed). My humble opinion is it is better to just buy the book and order the workbook only if you find the Jose Silva book hard to read. *** Update on this review is I returned the workbook! The book is predicated on a 40 + hour course that was taught by Jose silva, and there are references to the course in the book. Honestly, if you have ever meditated or read other books on mind control - this will be very easy for you to follow. It's like going to the source of knowledge that so many other teachers seemed to have learned and "borrowed" from. The examples in this book are really good, and that alone makes it much better than the workbooks.I'd recommend this to anyone who is having issues with unproductive thinking, lack of focus, or feeling overwhelmed by how much needs to get done - the many exercises in this book are easy to follow and a good reminder of some of the things I already have learned and mind opening to new things I have not yet learned. This is one of those books you will open time and time again - so worth it to buy your own copy and annotate it as you see fit. My only regret is that I didn't read this book first before reading so many others - but so often, "when the student it ready, the teacher appears".I really needed this book at this certain time in my life and wholeheartedly recommend it as an aid to having greater focus (and therefore control) over what you want and need in your life.
