The Bug Ball Replacement Kit includes two durable, weather-resistant PVC fly traps and inflation needles designed to cover up to one acre with 2-3 traps. Great product
Works very well. Used the tangle foot glue that I had to buy elsewhere as I couldnโt find it on Amazon. Placed it a few feet from the woods line in between the pool and woods. This is a few weeks after putting it up. Will be applying more glue soon.

Solves Biting Fly Problems!!!
We live on lake in the Midwest adjacent to several acres of bog. Eliminating standing water to reduce biting insects is a non-starter! Starting every year around June, we would run the 500 feet from back door to dock with towels over our heads to protect ourselves from the biting flies. We started using bug balls about 5 years ago with amazing results! I remember hanging the first one and seeing a deer fly get stuck as I was applying the Tangle Trap coating (I've also used Catch Em' since with equal success). Talk about satisfying!!! Currently, we hang bug balls on extra tall shepherds hooks every 150 feet or so along the edge of our property (adjacent to the bog) and almost never see a deer or horse fly . . . unless it's stuck to the bug ball!!! Placement should be after the majority of the pollen is gone and the biting flies are starting to appear (early June where I live). We made the mistake of putting them out early one year and pollen coated the balls, rendering them completely ineffective. Clean up at the end of the year is easy as long as you're OK throwing them away. It is possible to clean them off with paint thinner . . . but yuck!!! I've used both the spray and brush on versions of the ball coating. Spray is MUCH easier to apply, but I think the brush on works better. One can covers about 2 balls. I keep some in reserve to recoat the balls in late summer. Black is my color of choice. It effectively catches both deer and horse flies. I tried the blue ones last year. While they did give a few of my neighbors an endless source of amusement, they seemed to be less effective at attracting the flies in my area. In summary, I can't recommend this product enough for anyone having issues with biting flies!

10/10
We couldn't even go outside. Thats how bad the deer flies were. If you have a deer fly problem- look no further. put 4-5 of these balls caked in the glue around your property (In SUNNY spots, they seem to like sun vs shade) . Works amazingly. I couldn't be happier.

Good solution, but has a major flaw
Catches lots of horseflies. Then they bite the ball and the ball deflates. Comes with repair patches, but in order to repair all of the super-sticky glue and dead horseflies have to be thoroughly cleaned off the ball. Then the flies bite through it again. I wonder if making the material thicker would stop this from happening. If so these would be a 5-star solution, but otherwise they are only good for as long as they can stay inflated.

DEATH TO HORSEFLIES!
Do you, or someone you know, have skin? Are you full of rich, delicious and nutritious blood? Do you want to KEEP that rich, delicious and nutritious blood under your skin? Then this is your weapon of choice against pretty much every flying insect that seeks to punch holes in your precious skin and slurp up your rich, delicious and nutritious blood. The Bug Ball takes advantage of the predatory behavior of horseflies, deerflies, blackflies, stableflies and other blood-sucking flying insects, and brings them zooming in for a meal. They'll circle the ball a few times, then land on it, and get stuck in the Tanglefoot Glue. (You *did* remember to buy and apply the glue, right?) I just recently put mine away for the winter, and it was absolutely coated with hundreds of bitey beasties that would have tried to suck my precious bodily fluids. If you live near salt water, this will be a God-send against Greenheads! Just place a few around your property, and enjoy a pest-free existence. Caveat: This does *not* work against mosquitoes. Mosquitoes rely on emissions of carbon dioxide and pheromones like octenol to find their meal. Biting flies rely primarily on vision. Scent can bring them into the neighborhood, but vision zeroes them in on your backside.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!!
Did not attract flies, it just caught the occasional fly that happened to land there. Would not purchase ever again, very disappointed. Product is too expensive and useless for attracting any flies.

Better Idea
Not very effect product. A painted blue cup / garden pots for plants works IMO a lot better. Need to coat the cup / pot with tangle trap sticky coating. Place cup / pot over a stake about 5โ above the ground. Works great for deer flies. I also use the cup on a pole attached to ATV to keep from getting bite.
