SFA Sanicompact 43 Silence Eco + WC with compact grinder 550 W

I'm furious with this item. It appears to be a French product that doesn't have the facility to plumb a sink in as well. It comes with an Euro plug and a vast amount of French language instructions.Why are Amazon selling this as a Sanicompact when that item is specifically designed to be used with a sink as well.I not have the hastle of returning this bulky but useless item.

I never write reviews, but I've now had this loo for around two years, and I'm so impressed with it - in our age of worrying about using too much water, this has surely got to be a winner. Not to mention its incredibly compact footprint - we live in a Scottish tenement flat - they usually have only one bathroom - but we've squeezed a decent size shower, basin and loo into what most of our neighbours treat as a large cupboard - only made possible by the neatness of this design. Folk are often put off macerating loos because of the risk of blockage. Whether the block is because the wrong things are put down it (wet wipes, tampons etc) or just because of a really big poo (come on, we have to admit they come in all shapes and sizes!) - still, unblocking a macerating loo can be a bit of a pain. We've had to do it once - due to poo and lots of paper - but it made us realise how to use the loo "properly" - something they don't tell you in the instructions!! The key is to flush early, flush often!! To get technical, as soon as the poo is out, simply reach your right hand back to the flush button and flush it away! The loo seems to be able to cope with any amount of poo on its own and any amount of paper on its own - the problem only comes when the two are combined! Once we realised this, we've had no blocking problem at all. I hope this isn't too detailed for the squeamish - but it's the kind of thing they simply don't tell you - and not knowing it probably leads to some folks' poor rating of macerators.I'm surprised by the other very negative reviews. Our unit did come from the continent, but that hardly seemed surprising as SFA, the company that make Saniflo loos, originated in France. Ours is clearly an original Saniflo unit - of course, if non-Saniflo items are being delivered, that is a problem. Finally, although we didn't need to plumb our sink into the loo, all the fittings were provided to enable this, if we had wanted to.

I have had this model before with no problems.I have had to replace it and this seemed identical to my previous Sanicompact.However the item was sold as having wash basin inlet which it does not have. Misrepresentation in other words.The item has been installed with considerable inconvenience and extra work and I have tried to raise the issuewith Amazon but getting through to anyone with any idea is akin to pulling teeth. They seem to have no comprehension as to how the system works.

Why would they put 'sillent' in the title? This product is anything but silent. It resonates throughout the house!

Perfect for our down stairs toilet

I am sick of the STINK of raw sewage over the last FIVE years which we've had this. It has never blocked, never had anything down it which shouldn't be down it, and is only a back-up loo used about once a day if that, gets cleaned regularly; and I have spoken to no less than 8 plumbers and saniflo engineers who all say there's nothing they can do. I CANNOT LIVE WITH THIS STINK ! Noone will come and look at it or fix it. NEVER BUY ONE!!

DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE!!!! the toilet comes from France is not an original Saniflo toilet.2 delivered - 1 damaged could not be installed, 1 with incorrect fittings.Now found out this is listed incorrectly! it WILL NOT pump the waste from the sink despite the description.If a plumber tries to fit it it will not work properly and you will be stuck with the cost of the plumber and no compensation from Amazon for your losses!
